🛫 As Christmas approaches, it’s the time of the year when people start heading off on their winter vacations. Rebecca Gilmore, Senior Associate and Travel litigation specialist, shares her top tips on staying safe on Winter holidays in her latest blog. "For many, the thrill of a winter holiday is no longer limited to traditional activities such as skiing, sledging and skating. Racing across magical icy landscapes on a skidoo, ice fishing in Scandinavia, snow rafting and ziplining in Norway, and night sledding with huskies and reindeer are just some of the brilliant winter adventures on offer. Being prepared for if something was to go wrong will not dampen the thrill and fun of your adventure, but it will put you in a better position both practically and legally if it does." 🔗 Click here to read more: https://bit.ly/49HAgRA

Was it FOMO or fear of stopping? Either way I was tempted to push on and yet, instead we called it a day. 🎿⛷️ 🚀 Picture this the sun is shining, the ski conditions are ideal for spring skiing and we have the mountain to ourselves and it’s 2:45pm. The old me would have pushed on till dusk. Instead we called it a day and ended it on a high. Why? Forty years of skiing experience has taught me that mid afternoon is usually when the ski conditions change just enough to humble the most confident skier. Finishing a day of skiing early isn't about missing out; it's about savoring the exhilaration of accomplishment. It's about knowing when you've reached your peak performance and having the wisdom to step back and appreciate the journey. ⛷️💨 My struggle isn’t gearing myself up to work hard. Rather, I struggle to stop after working hard and accomplishing things in order to appreciate what’s happened. Just like skiing, work efficiency isn't about rushing through tasks; it's about finding your rhythm, solving problems (hopefully with finesse), and reaching your goals with grace. 🎿💼 Sometimes a successful work day isn’t about how long and hard we work. Rather it’s pausing while the sun is still shining so we can appreciate what we’ve just achieved. 🌟🎿 #Efficiency #Productivity #FinishEarly

Today marked my first day skiing this season—a surprisingly deep, powder-filled start. 👏🏼 It feels like a gift, a reminder that nature’s rhythm doesn’t follow our plans —— but offers what we need when we least expect it (I really needed this day). My goal this winter? To ski weekly (maybe twice 😜) and get lost in the place that feels most like home— the mountains. Skiing is my freedom, my grounding, and my way of connecting to something bigger than myself. It’s a space where joy, challenge, and awe collide—a dance between surrender and intention. There’s a reason we outgrow the shallow end, where everything is safe and seen. We crave depth—where the wild things are. The depths of the forest, the storm-buried slopes, and untracked lines pull us forward. These spaces challenge, unravel, and reveal us. Depth doesn’t just live in the snow. It’s in the connections we make—with the land, ourselves, and those who venture beside us. It’s in lessons learned when the line we planned vanishes and we find another way down. So here’s to depth. 🥂 To deep dives into ourselves and the wild. To challenges, discoveries, and stories in every turn. Happy opening day 🥂 ❤️👏🏼 what depths are calling you my friend? #deep #skiing #outside #feedom

Another skiing season ended with a super fun day of spring skiing at my last women's locals clinic of the year. The biggest bonus was some of the incredible women I met along the way! 📸 Pictured here are some of the friends I skied with throughout the winter. Take note: My instructor, Trish (far right), is 63 years old. Judy (next to me) is 70+ years old. Gayle (blue gear) is 74 years old. 💪 And don't forget Bobbi (middle), who will turn 80 in December (she and I bonded over having birthdays two days apart). It may seem like a big ego hit to learn alongside (and attempt to keep up with) people who could be your parent, but these ladies have been skiing longer than I've been alive. The next time you judge someone for their age, check yourself. The next time you feel like you're being judged for your age, check yourself. ➡ You're never too old to learn, teach, or ski double black bumps in style. ✅ When was the last time you threw age out the window? Tell me more! #careercoach #professionaldevelopment #businesscoach #entreprenuer #mountainlife #outdoorlifelesson

🎿 With backcountry skiing and freeriding becoming more popular every year, safety is more critical than ever. Despite advances in rescue and survival gear, the risks remain high: 📊 Why is mountain training essential? Around 200 people die in avalanches every year in the Alps and North America. 90% of avalanches are triggered by the victim or a member of their group. 1 in 2 avalanche victims does not survive. 🚨 Equipping yourself with the right knowledge it’s essential. Ski season is here! I'm heading to Saalbach-Hinterklemm. Where are you skiing this year? 🎿 Reflecting on past achievements and future adventures, the crisp mountain air is the perfect backdrop for both. In business and life, it’s the journey that counts. Here's why skiing resonates with me: - Challenge and Skill: Like IT, skiing demands constant attention and skill. One wrong move and you're off course! - Planning and Strategy: Just as we strategize for business growth, planning the perfect ski trip involves mapping out the best routes. - Connection and Community: Ski trips forge strong bonds, much like professional relationships. The support and camaraderie on the slopes mirror my experiences with my team. Skiing also reminds me of the importance of taking a break to recharge. Exploring the snowy peaks is not just about the thrill but about embracing challenges and celebrating small victories. So, whether you're zooming down the slopes or tackling business goals, let's keep pushing forward with innovation and determination. What's your favorite ski destination and how does it inspire you? 🏔️ #SkiSeason #AdventureAwaits #SaalbachHinterklemm #Innovation

If you're earning 300k+ and live in the US here is the ideal way to go skiing with your family... 1. Book a Ski Chalet or Villa: If your looking for the ideal family experience, look into ski in/ski out chalets, not only are they the most practical, they offer the picture-perfect winter holiday experience that you see in Xmas (or Hannukah) movies. 2. Hire a Chaperone or Nanny: Finding local, vetted staff to keep your kids company on/off the slopes gives you a chance to actually enjoy time skiing, après-skiing or even spa-ing with your significant other. Skiing really is one of the only vacation that gives everyone space to do their own thing AND bonding time together all in one. (Try taking time off while the kids are screaming at the Turks and Caicos resort pool). 3. One-Stop Booking: Instead of trying to balance multiple web searches, multi vendor bookings and payment links - work with a trusted travel professional to put everything together for you. If you truly want a hassle-free vacation...cutting out all logistics from your schedule (and mind) is key! How are you booking your family vacations this year?
