What do you get when you mix a South African, over 20 years of HR and EDI experience, and a microphone? A bloody good podcast - that's what! (episode in comments ⤵) Myra Cooke breaks down an effective EDIB strategy with a level of clarity that I loved: 🤝 Talent Acquisition (external): build an effective strategy to attract and hire from all backgrounds and ensure that they're treated fairly in the recruitment and assessment process. I'll share a link to Instant Impact's best practice guide here. ❤️ Inclusion & belonging (internal): ensure that you look at everything internally through an inclusion and belonging lens. That's everything from the big stuff (progression pathways, recognition, etc) to the small stuff (where you host your events, whether you close for Christmas etc). 🛒 Marketplace (this was a new one for me): look once again at all of your customer-facing branding and content. If that's not inclusive then neither is your employer brand! 🌐 It HAS to be systematic - piecemeal change doesn't work. Myra - you're an inspiration. #deib #podcast #hr #people

HOW DO YOU FIND THE "SWEET SPOT" OF YOUR EMPLOYER BRAND? 🎯 According to Tom Jonkers, there are three audiences you have to keep in mind: 1. The internal organization 2. The employees 3. The candidates ⭐ The million dollar question is: "How can you find the right message that the internal organization AGREES on, the employees LOVE to tell and the candidates WANT to hear?" As Jasmina Viso emphasizes: you have to stay curious in the process. Try not to chase the narrative that you already defined beforehand and what you WANT it to look like, but really keep digging in order to find the real gold! 🥇 Do you agree? Check out the full HR Debatable podcast episode with Tom, Jasmina & moderator Neelie Verlinden in the links below. #HRDebatable #Cegid #HR #EmployerBrand #TalentAcquisition #Seeknspeak #Recruitment SEEKNSPEAK

Last season, our ‘Latest HR News’ episodes were some of the most loved by our listeners, as the role of HR continues to develop, we had to bring them back for series 7! Listen to the episode here: https://lnkd.in/ezjNieRQ Stuart Elliott, is joined by Katy Goldwater and Paul Knight start the conversation by discussing a topic that has continued to be prominent post Covid; hybrid working, reflecting on whether this topic needs to be parked and if it has had an effect on those starting their careers. Moving on, they touch on the topic of intergenerational working as the current workforce is navigating the most crossover in generations in the workplace than ever before. As the conversation continues, Stuart, Katy and Paul discuss whether the cover letter is still necessary and if hiring should be left to the HR department, taking diverse hiring into consideration. Finally, they move on to chatting through AI within the HR function and the future of work and whether it is dependent on the future of reward. As a more light-hearted topic, Stuart, Katy and Paul discuss social media’s role in HR and whether the use of it is making HR cool again, through the use of TikTok and influencers in the space. A great episode, thanks for being on the show! #hr #humanresources #podcast #hybridwork #futureofwork #futureofreward #fiversehiring #intergenerationalworking #ai #latestnews

This recent podcast by HR Grapevine reminded me of the extreme amount of time hiring managers spend on sourcing sufficient quality candidates for a single hire per role - an average of 13 hours! Imagine if there was technology that could do this for you... #Censia #talentintelligence #timetohire

“Do or do not. There is no try” In this week's episode of the Nova podcast I interview Javier Vidaurreta Herrera, HR Director at KPMG in Spain, who quoted Maester Yoda. In 1h of HR masterclass, we learn about: 📈 The main numbers of a Big4 business: revenue, hiring, turnover ... ✅ How Big4s try to attract young talent and differentiate themselves. 💶 Salaries at Big4s and how they manage their staff. 😮 Challenges of managing HR in a company that is fundamentally about people 🤓 How analytics is making its way into HR. 💪 How the things that are worthwhile in life take effort. 🤲 What profiles do KPMG recruiters look for and how do they define talent 🤝 The future of freelancers and project-based work. The newest Episode of Thrive and Shine HR has dropped - check it out!! In our 20th episode of "Thrive and Shine HR," Katherine and Jen jump into US vs. THEM mentality in the workplace (and in our own minds 🧠). They share personal stories of overcoming cultural divisions and unconscious biases, emphasizing the importance of curiosity, vulnerability, and continuous reflection. 💭 Jen and Katherine encourage HR professionals to break down barriers, foster inclusivity, and approach their external (and INTERNAL) challenges with openness. Their compassionate insights remind listeners that every day is an opportunity to make change(s) that WILL make a difference. 🌈 HR professionals are encouraged to take a deep, honest look at their own experiences, reflecting on times when they have felt their identities marginalized. By gaining this awareness and undergoing the necessary healing, we can transform how we show up for ourselves and others. 🌟 Download, rate, and review the podcast to support our growth - thank you!!! 🎧✨ https://bit.ly/45vOToN
