𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 Site visits play a pivotal role in the success of any installation project. They allow for: 1. Quality Assurance:Ensuring that work meets the required standards and specifications. 2. Problem-Solving:Identifying and addressing issues in real-time, preventing costly delays. 3. Progress Monitoring:Keeping the project on schedule through regular oversight. 4. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitating clear communication between all parties involved. 5. Safety Checks: Ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. What are the methods to notify Quality issues to the Subcontractor and get them on track? 1. Discussion in Quality meetings and record in MOM. 2. Observation reports 3. Non-Conformity reports (Previous steps can be ignored for major Quality issues) 4. Request Corrective Action report if identified during Audit 5. Re-Occurrence of similar issues to be addressed to top management through official letters. Most cases this action will be sufficient for proper corrective actions. 6. On extreme cases, the final weapon is to issue “Notice of Default”. Subcontractors usually act upon receipt of Non-conformity reports. Notice of Default are usually not issued as this is issued only in extreme cases for breach of contract. Subcontractor will hate you if this is issued to them🤣 Some project contracts even has Quality Key Performance Indicator score which will be calculated in monthly progress payments. This will make the subcontractor QC team to work efficiently. Just an example. This may vary depends on the Contract clauses and Quaint Exhibit #Qualityweapons

Cost of Quality (COQ) In the course of my professional experience, I have observed that many contractors fail to allocate a budget for quality costs due to a lack of understanding regarding the methods for tracking such costs. Furthermore, they are not aware of the hidden quality costs, such as conformance and non-conformance, which can have a significant impact on the overall project budget.
