🚀 Stitchy's First Client Shoot: A Lesson in Resilience 🚀 A month into running Stitchy, and Saturday marked a milestone: my first client shoot. It was up at Aintree, and was a pretty big deal. As with any shoot, myself and the team had put a lot into planning the day. But then… 🌩️ one of the worst storms in the UK in a century hit, leaving Aintree a complete wash out. Not ideal but we move. The team and I started working on a backup plan, adapting as quickly as we could. But soon it became clear that the back up plan wasn’t going to work out. Next step? A backup to the backup. Calls were made, plans reshuffled, and we were ready to go, until….storm Darragh scuppered the back up to the back up. Would I have loved to just go in and nail the shoot? 🙄 Of course! But this experience taught me such an important first lesson in running your own business: life and business doesn’t always go as planned. The biggest lessons are learned in the challenging moments, and the key is to adapt, keep moving, and stay focused. Lesson two? Surround yourself with a bloody talented team. The kind of team that pulls together when things gets tough and together you can handle anything.
