So for those of you following along on our journey, we move pretty quickly. Since our Alpha release on 2 April, we've had eight and a half sprints... and we've transformed our initial concept to a much more valuable system for our nearly 500 users. The biggest change with this last release is our most ambitious feature yet - Finch Assist. I know, I know... everyone is doing AI. But we didn't want to do AI just for the sake of it. We wanted to build something that would actually save you time and money. It simultaneously does all of the manual steps you used to do to build and manage trips; but also helps you scenario plan. For example, are you planning the next company offsite or team meeting and can't decide where to go? In less than 5 minutes, you can get cost estimates and make a decision when in the past that would have taken you hours or days... Joining Abstrabit Technologies with their awesome remote-first approach has been a total game-changer for me. It's actually achievable with remote work! Being present for my family is no longer a luxury. Whether it's catching breakfast together or catching up on some episodes of our favourite TV show, I can be there, and that's what truly matters. 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥: 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲! Let's not forget the practical benefits. Ditching the commute means saving a ton of time and money. That extra energy can now be spent on things I love – reading, learning a new language, or just chilling on the couch with a good book. Flight Deck Spotlight ✈️ Andrew Montgomery, Integrated Payments Specialist Q.) Where do you call home? A.) Austin, TX Q.) Would you like to share anything about your family? A.) I’m originally from Arkansas (woo pig!). I have a younger brother who just started college. While I don’t have any dogs at the moment, I'm currently in the phase of potentially getting one. Q.) What excites you about working for Propelr? A.) Getting to dive deep into an industry that is growing at such a rapid pace. It's also great getting to meet the wonderful team Propelr has built and constantly learning from everyone. Q.) Do you enjoy traveling? A.) If it were up to me, I’d always be traveling. In the U.S., I love visiting San Diego—I’ve been four times and it never gets old. The best trip I’ve ever taken was to Oktoberfest in Munich. I also have some upcoming travel plans, including a marathon in Hawaii and trips to Sweden and Barcelona next year. Q.) If you could give only one piece of career advice, what would it be? A.) I’m still early in my career, but I always tell people to take calculated risks. Being comfortable is nice, but it can also be the biggest obstacle to career growth. Q.) Do you have any hobbies you'd like to share? A.) My hobbies right now include running(way too dang much!), spending my weekends watching football, and playing soccer/pickleball on weeknights. Q.)
