I had the honor of being a speaker at yesterday’s ADHP - Associação dos Directores de Hotéis de Portugal Junior (ADHPJ) V Congress, where we delved into the exciting topic of “Technological Tools for Career Building, and I want to express my appreciation. 🙏Thank You to ADHP and ADHPJ: I extend my gratitude to the ADHPJ (Association of Hotel Directors Portugal Junior) and ADHP (ADHP - Associação dos Directores de Hotéis de Portugal) for organizing this insightful event. It was a pleasure to collaborate with such forward-thinking organizations. 🏨 Hospitality of Universidade Europeia: a special shout-out to the Universidade Europeia for hosting us. 🎙️ Joao Freitas and Antonio Marto: It was an honor to share the stage with two of the main references in Portuguese Hospitality. We realize that we are (in fact) having fun when time flies by and we return to the office with our minds buzzing with new ideas. I hope we can meet again soon! 🚀 Key Insights for Emerging Hotel Directors: For the young professionals embarking on their careers as future Hotel Directors, here are four critical insights: 1)     Technology is your ally: Embrace technology as a fundamental tool. Companies expect you to be the catalysts of innovation. Stay curious, explore emerging trends, and leverage technology to enhance guest experiences, streamline operations, and drive growth. 2)     Mindset matters more than know-how: Beyond technical skills, cultivate the right mindset. Instead of asking what the company can do for you, start by asking what you can contribute. Think of it as a reciprocal gift exchange—just like during the Christmas season. Be proactive, and you’ll see reciprocity unfold. 3)     Adaptability is non-negotiable: The landscape will evolve rapidly throughout your career. What you learn today may look vastly different in five years. Stay agile, invest in continuous learning, and be the first to embrace change. Innovate fearlessly, even if it means taking on projects others shy away from. 4)     Embrace change, shape the future: As you step into your roles as future Hotel Directors, remember that change is your ally.
