Safety First Tip #5: Radon - Monitoring 1. Post-Mitigation Testing - A follow-up radon test should to carried out to confirm that radon levels have dropped to a safe level. 2. Regular Monitoring- Test radon levels periodically, as structure changes over time could impact radon levels. 3. System Inspection - Check the radon mitigation system, especially fans, piping and seals to ensure they remain in good working order. Radon testing and mitigation are critical for any business, not only for the safety and health of employees but also for protecting the business's long-term success and reputation. Here are some key reasons why it's important for businesses to prioritize radon testing and mitigation: #5 : Preserving Property Value Building Integrity: Radon levels that are too high could indicate a larger issue with the structure of the building, such as improper ventilation or foundation issues. Identifying and addressing radon risks early on can protect your business property value and prevent costly damage in the long run. Future Proofing: As awareness of environmental health issues grows, future buyers or renters of the building may insist on radon testing and mitigation.
