A cat house provides not only protection from cold and rain but also from predators and other dangers. Placing a cat house is a simple yet meaningful way to contribute to the well-being of these animals. With a few basic supplies, such as insulation and an entrance big enough for cats, anyone can create a safe haven. This ensures that the cats have a place to retreat, rest, and increase their chances of survival. Additionally, caring for stray cats can benefit the local community. By placing cat houses, people not only show compassion but also contribute to a better living environment for both the cats and the community. Every municipality should encourage this among residents and offer subsidies for citizens to do so. This rewards responsible citizenship and fosters community spirit between citizens and the city. A northern Ontario rescue is already over-capacity but one night, two puppies are abandoned at their doorstep. They can't find it in their hearts to turn them away. So, what options do they have? One solution is to coordinate with another rescue that has capacity. But if the rescue with space is far away, how do they get there? That's where we come in! Canadian rescues can use our easy intake form to request free transport from one of our volunteer pilots! From there we connect with our network of over 200 pilots to fulfil the request. Once a pilot volunteers for the transport, we aim to make it completely seamless for the rescues and the pilots to work together to make sure distance is never a barrier to animals in need. Every rescue flight involves careful planning and teamwork.
