Building an Affordable Future Begins Now! At Homestead, we have over 240 homes waiting to be built. Your #GivingTuesday, donation today helps fulfill the dream of first-time homeownership to more households in our communities, and the impact doesn’t just stop there. In the first 50 years, every Homestead home is estimated to serve up to seven households, building not only a legacy of permanent affordability but also community strength, climate resilience, and economic mobility. Each home offers stability for first-time homeowners, creating opportunities that extend across generations and supporting a future where our communities thrive together. Addressing America's affordable housing crisis is a pressing challenge that affects millions of individuals and families across the nation. The escalating costs of housing, combined with stagnant wages and rising living expenses, have pushed many low- and moderate-income households into precarious financial situations. Families struggling to afford housing often face difficult choices, sacrificing essential aspects of life needed to survive, which can lead to long-term negative impacts on their well-being and that of their children. By prioritizing affordable housing, we can create a foundation for stability, allowing families to focus on opportunities for growth and development. To effectively tackle this crisis, a collaborative approach is necessary, involving government, non-profits, and private sectors. Thankfully our Hudson County Community has those within it advocating for affordable housing. We are honoring multiple advocates at our upcoming fundraiser cocktail party, “An Evening of Promise Gala: Bridging A Better Future Together!” Help us combat the ongoing shortage of affordable housing by attending our upcoming event and supporting its honorees! You can purchase your tickets via the following link: https://lnkd.in/ebufN3SY Remember, together WE can, so what are you waiting for? Join us in creating brighter futures for the marginalized housing-insecure families of our community by buying your tickets today! P.S. Want to show your support, but can't attend? We would be SO grateful for a donation in any amount. A big thankyou to ASN Collectibles, Angel & Co and their generous patron who collaborated on the sale of a collectable item donating the proceeds to the Bardsley Youth Project. Your donation is going towards the Nourish Connect Support Initiative supporting young people in Coventry facing the difficult choice between heating and eating this winter. The young person's warm space was born out of the need we saw in our client group. The Young People we serve are often disproportionately affected by cost of living rises. They are usually on lower wages, lower benefits and at a higher likelihood of being on zero-hour contracts than those over the age of 25. They also face barriers to accessing typical warm space environments, for example, feeling anxiety about not being around peers, and fearing the prejudice that unfortunately commonly accompanies the stereotype of ‘youth. Our warm space aims to lessen some of the difficult choices young people have to make, ultimately trying to prevent the likelihood of circumstances culminating in youth homelessness. If your business would like to get involved you can find out more about the initiative here: https://lnkd.in/eK9Y3Dxi Browse ASN Collectibles on Ebay here: https://lnkd.in/eUsJ_fKp Find out more about visiting Angel & Co at Hoar Park Farm Craft and Shopping Village here: https://lnkd.in/equf2EXA #csr #corporatesocialresponsibility #ESG #Communityimpact #socialimpact #coventrybusiness #westmidlands #coventry #charity #supportlocal

For someone experiencing homelessness, moving into a new home is more than just a fresh start—it’s a financial challenge. Storage fees add up or furniture is being stored at a friend or family member's home, and without volunteer support, the cost of renting a moving truck can be overwhelming. And what if there’s no furniture to move? Beds, tables, chairs, a couch, dishes—all the basics of making a house a home—often need to be purchased. Local nonprofits and our team can help, but many still face these expenses on their own. This Giving Tuesday, your support can give the gift of a fresh start by helping someone cover moving costs and create a home filled with comfort and stability. Together, we can make sure no one has to face these challenges alone. Donate at https://lnkd.in/e7ecSpkr
