The Fellowship of the Wellness Practices using SOAP notes as a form of deep listening with massage therapy clients. Deep listening is an essential component of effective communication and helps build trust, reduce stress, and promote understanding between therapists and clients. 1. **Nonverbal Communication**: Pay close attention to nonverbal cues, such as body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice, to better understand the client's feelings and concerns. 2. **Active Listening Techniques**: Utilize active listening techniques, such as paraphrasing and summarizing the client's statements, to demonstrate understanding and encourage further dialogue. 3. **Cultural Sensitivity**: Be aware of cultural differences and biases that may influence communication, ensuring that the massage therapist approaches the conversation with respect and an open mind. 4. **Emotional Support**: Create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to express their emotions, allowing them to feel supported and heard throughout the process. 5. **Collaboration and Shared Decision-Making**: Engage clients in shared decision-making by involving them in the development of their treatment plan, which can enhance their commitment to the therapeutic process. By integrating these deep listening skills into the SOAP notes process, massage therapists can foster a strong therapeutic alliance, enabling clients to feel valued, respected, and better prepared to engage in their treatment journey.

Wellbeing Centred Spaces 🌳 🏋♂️ 🧘♀️ No matter what sector we work in, no matter what we look like, no matter who we are - we all need wellbeing spaces that allow us to disconnect and realign. When you see the word wellbeing what comes to mind? Nature, walking, being outdoors? Wellbeing is an enigmatic concept however, and what appeals to one person might not appeal to the next. Wellbeing intrinsically connects the mind, body and soul, so these topics need thorough exploration – which will aid in creating truly holistic, unique and wellbeing centred interiors. In the PBSA & BTR sector sometimes people hear wellbeing and think of extravagant and over amenitised spaces, which is not the goal – wellbeing shouldn’t come at a cost. The goal is to create a simple selection of harmonious and balanced spaces that cater to work, rest and play. These spaces should have synergy and omit an energy that is restorative, centred with wellbeing at the heart. Spaces should be personal to the user, so it’s best to do a deep dive into what will engage, benefit and uplift their mood. I’ve personally encountered and designed libraries (mind), gyms (body) and prayer rooms (soul), but in recent years these concepts have evolved which is exciting. Now we are seeing internal garden/allotment rooms and craft development spaces just to name a few. What we know about wellness and the positive impact it can have, if looked at correctly, is reason to really explore and instil these qualities within a space. I foresee a high investment into these types of spaces, because we not only crave them, but need them. What I’m excited to explore and work on though is the more unobvious ways these spaces will develop through research and the encouragement of innovative ideas to accommodate our personal and ever-changing needs. Just remember work, rest and play and mind body and soul and you’re off to a thoughtful approach and a good start. #wellbeing #pbsa #interiordesign

Wellness in Spaces: Nurturing Physical and Mental Well-Being Connecting with Nature: In the realm of property development, our focus extends beyond bricks and mortar—it encompasses the creation of spaces that foster holistic well-being. At the heart of this endeavor lies our recognition of the profound connection between physical environments and mental wellness. Nature, with its inherent tranquility and vitality, serves as a guiding principle in our approach to designing spaces that promote both physical and mental well-being. By integrating natural elements into our environments, we seek to nurture a sense of harmony and balance that resonates with the human spirit. So how do we infuse our spaces with the healing power of nature? Here are a few foundational principles: 1. Aquatic Serenity: Incorporating water features into our developments isn't just about aesthetics—it's about creating spaces that soothe the soul and calm the mind. Whether it's a tranquil fountain in a courtyard or a serene pond in a park, water has a transformative effect on our well-being, promoting relaxation and stress relief. 2. Botanical Bliss: Greenery isn't just decoration—it's medicine for the mind and body. By incorporating lush vegetation into our designs, we create environments that purify the air, reduce noise pollution, and promote mental clarity. From rooftop gardens to indoor jungles, our spaces are infused with the restorative power of plants. 3. Mindful Retreats: In our fast-paced world, it's essential to carve out spaces for quiet reflection and contemplation. Whether it's a meditation garden, a yoga studio, or a peaceful alcove tucked away from the hustle and bustle, our developments offer sanctuaries where residents can recharge and reconnect with themselves. By embracing these principles, we strive to create spaces that not only enhance the physical health of our residents but also nurture their mental well-being. Because at the end of the day, our goal isn't just to build structures—it's to cultivate environments where people can thrive, flourish, and find true wellness. #WellnessSpaces #NatureInDesign #AquaticSerenity #BotanicalBliss #MindfulRetreats #HolisticWellBeing #PropertyWellness

The subject of "Wellness" and "Living well" is expansive, and the wellness industry itself is vast, offering myriad avenues for exploration and can be talked about. As Emerson eloquently stated, "The first wealth is health." This sentiment resonates deeply with me as I observe the world around me and reflect on my own journey. In our relentless pursuit of success, it's all too easy to neglect self-care, relegating it to the bottom of our priority list. Yet, there inevitably comes a moment of awakening—a moment when we recognize the paramount importance of nurturing ourselves. As Hospitality Designer, we get to design most beautiful spas in the hotels, but integrating "wellness" concepts into hospitality design is not about physical elements like gym and spas, it is about state-of-mind. It is that "Wholistic" aspects that we as designer must understand and practice from the very air we breathe to the culinary delights served. Every facet of design should embody inclusivity and offer spatial experiences imbued with spiritual connections, inviting guests to embark on a journey of self-discovery or reminisce on cherished memories. While some advocate for a complete disconnection from technology in favor of a "return to nature concept", I believe there's immense potential in leveraging technology to seamlessly enhance the flow of experiences within spaces, without resorting to gimmickry. When employed judiciously, technology can serve as a medium to enrich the overall guest experience. Designing hospitality spaces with a focus on wellness is not merely about functionality; it's about imbuing spaces with deeper significance and meaning. Narratives play a paramount role in this endeavor, shaping every aspect of the design process, particularly when wellness is interwoven into the fabric of hospitality spaces. I could continue to talk about this captivating subject endlessly, so I have written a short article about this subject this week. I invite you to have a read and share your thoughts.😊 https://lnkd.in/gaJrjkbr #figure3hospitality #figure3 #shannonkim #travellingshannon #hospitalitydesign #hospitalitydesigner #saudi2030 #riyadh2030 #saudiinteriordesign #saudivision2030 #vision2030 #hoteldesign #interiordesign #guestexperience #engagingcontent #hospitalityexperts #timelessdesign #hospitalityexperience #designerlife #hireexperienceddesigner #wellness #wellnessdesign #wellnessinhospitalitydesign #hospitalityminds #hospitalitydesigntrends #followme #interiordesigner #letstalk
