We are exhibiting by looking to expand into the UK market more, currently we export most of our products (over 50% of them) to our partners in France, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands and we think we can do the same thing successfully to the United Kingdom as well. We are looking to add clients to our portfolio as we have just recently increased our production capacity significantly with the addition of 7 new machines the last 2 years with around 4 million euro invested. 2) What excites you the most about this year’s edition? This is a new exhibition for us, so we are definitely excited to see what it can bring and possibly see any new kind of innovations in the industry from our colleagues. It will be our third year in a row exhibiting here after 2 years of focusing on the London Packaging week show. 3) Is Impress Bg bringing any new packaging solutions or innovations to the show? We will be showcasing new products which we offer such as more complex carton packaging which our new machine can glue and/or prefold mostly for the cosmetics industry. As well as different structural designs of rigid boxes which we produce in-house. We will also highlight our new addition to the finishing works, which is our new digital varnishing machine, perfect for shorter runs and quick turnaround. 4) What type of packaging do you offer and who do you hope to connect with at the event? We offer carton, corrugated and rigid boxes, as our focus is mostly on packaging from cartonboard, namely GC1 board. We have a full in-house process of production which allows us to offer better prices and quicker turnaround. As I mentioned we have significantly increased our production capacity, so we are looking to add long-term partners which have a focus in the cosmetics, spirits and food industries. Weekend Reading Recommendation: There are any number of excellent reasons to read Ayana Elizabeth Johnson's What If We Get It Right? Among my top three is her interview with CREO's President and CEO Régine Clément. I've highlighted so many sections in that chapter that I can practically read it in the dark. The first two sentences: "Someone has to go first. Someone has to take the leap and bet on an emerging technology, a new company, or a new way of doing business." That last part resonates deeply with Caravela Coffee's mission to "make specialty coffee as prosperous as it is delicious." We may not be new, as we're approaching our 25th anniversary next year, but our way of doing business continues to be a leap: offering exceptional quality, building lasting relationships, and ensuring that everyone in our supply chain thrives. I'm reading this in conversation with Carissa Carter's and Scott Doorley's Assembling Tomorrow, Franco Fubini's In Search of the Perfect Peach, and Nike's No Finish Line.
