I think this Washington's Dream skit, and the first from Bargatze's initial stint hosting SNL, is hysterical. https://lnkd.in/eTP6zZHc But it is also really trenchant given the current climate around DEI and the choices that we are seeing some organizations and leaders make about how they choose to engage with or articulate their vision for diversity, equity, and inclusion. If you are a leader talking about your organization's vision and theory for change and you are not talking about equity, if you gloss over the questions from your BIPOC staff, or put it on the back burner, you look as silly as Nate Bargatze/General Washington here. We can't talk about what we want to achieve, our aspirations, without attending to the very real experiences of all of our people, and how our work strives to create and truly contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive world. Watch the skit. Laugh, it's comedy gold and the timing is perfect. And then consider how we need to show up as leaders for our message and work to be authentic, empowering, and meaningful.

In the wise words of Edmund Burke: 'If we command our wealth, we shall be rich and free. If our wealth commands us, we are poor indeed.' A powerful reminder to manage our resources thoughtfully and strategically. Let's strive for freedom and control in every aspect of our wealth. #ProfessionalInsights #WealthManagement #FinancialLeadership

One of the reasons I am in a good mood after the election is that I didn't realize how many fellow Americans agree with my view. I happen to think that war is a bad thing and getting into a war with both China and Russia is both stupid and suicidal. One thing that disappoints me about American politics is that there is nothing positive. If you listen to Kennedy's inaugaral address, it is mostly about peace and cooperation with the Soviet Union, and nothing that Biden or Trump has said matches that. One reason I think things will go better with Trump is that Biden wanted to extend US global hegemony forever, and had this absolutely crazy idea that if you try to destroy the Chinese economy and blow up China, that somehow China won't react badly. The good news is that when faced with a possible war with China, the reaction of the American people is "we didn't sign up for this." With Trump, any effort to try to get the world to gang up against China and Russia will fail because Trump is concerned about American interests, and also the US is too aligned with Israel and so will ignore the rest of the world on that issue. However, the one good thing about US politics is that it's nowhere near as delusional as UK/EU politics. For better or worse, the US is the global hegemon and is running a world empire. The people in the UK are even more delusional and the stuff they are saying with Russia and China is even more crazy and out of touch. I think part of it is that people in the UK in the political class, still think that the UK matters in foreign policy, and they don't realize how trouble the UK is in domestically. https://lnkd.in/gqNjsAS2

Dear African Leaders, How much of Bill Gates do you know or are you blinded by the color of a mere fiat currency called Dollar? Have you now reduced all of your African values to dollars and cents that your children will eventually sniff away in drugs when you are no more? Have you ever thought about the consequences of making your own kids cerebrally redundant because you have left them cash and assets they never worked for or needed ? Please have pity on yourselves and your children by rejecting the offers from the Eugenicist, Bill Gates. You will agree with me that no African knows Bill Gates like the notable speaker in this video, Robert Kennedy Jnr. Why then do you trust Bill Gates if all of these is said about him? Many of the European tribesmen who know Bill Gates are wondering what is wrong with you African Leaders. Are you hypnotized or something? His Dollar is not good for you please reject it. Even though it’s a known fact that you are careless about the Citizens you govern, have pity on yourself and your Children. #africa #africanunion #au #gmo #saynotogmos #vaccine #mpox #blacklivesmatter

The greatest US President in history has sadly just passed away at the age of 100. Why is he the greatest US President in history? Because of his humanity. Humanity, that unfortunately seems to have lost its place in the world these days, as we witness horrors unfold throughout the world. - He is the only US President to have achieved any significant peace treaty in the Middle East, between Egypt and Israel - He rightfully so received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 - He fought his entire life for the under-privileged, such as his 40years+ dedication to Habitat-for-Humanity, and other causes for the oppressed throughout the world. Most importantly, he rolled up his sleeves and practiced what he preached, with a deep un-politicized understanding and compassion for human rights and humanity. His own words of his farewell address best represent whom he is, and what all other US Presidents and world leaders ought to strive to be: "....Those who hunger for freedom, who thirst for human dignity, and who suffer for the sake of justice -- they are the patriots of this cause. I believe with all my heart that America must always stand for these basic human rights -- at home and abroad. That is both our history and our destiny. America did not invent human rights. In a very real sense, it is the other way round. Human rights invented America...." (Jimmy Carter Farewell Address) https://lnkd.in/eyhXNFcq
