Yesterday, CETENMA attended the final project meeting of the 🇪🇺 LIFE B2E4SustWWTP in Rethymno (Crete, 🇬🇷). We could visit the pilot plant settled in the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) of Rethymno and observe it working, achieving the main milestone of the project. 🌍 The solution implements an innovative close to market and self-sustainable system to treat the biosolids generated in a WWTP. This treatment gasifies the biosolids, producing both thermal energy and electricity, decreasing one of the key costs related to a WWTP: the energy consumption. Furthermore, the B2E system reduces the biosolid volume generated. 🤗 Thanks to the partners, our project manager Silvia Donato, Theoharis Tzisovaras, monitoring expert at ELMEN/NEEMO EEIG and specifically my colleagues Jose Miguel Paredes and Andrés Lara Guillén for the great work and effort done. 💪🏻 Let's continue working to achieve a complete sustainable industry. #Innovation, #LIFEProgramme, #Circulareconomy, #sustainability, #CETENMA
