I started the "𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁" on 1st January 2024. Through this blog, I will be sharing my daily experiences and insights as I embark on this journey to become a polymath. I will be exploring a diverse range of topics, from science and technology to art and literature, and sharing my thoughts and observations along the way. 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆: https://lnkd.in/gUqDB7bF Since starting this project, I’ve been reading a topic daily, distilling its essentials, rephrasing them in my own words, embellishing it with examples, and recording them in my journal. The best of those ideas make their way into this blog. In today's rapidly evolving world, the need for individuals who excel across multiple disciplines has never been more critical. The essence of the Great Polymath Project lies in cultivating a diverse skill set and a broad range of knowledge to navigate the complexities of our times. 𝗙𝗼𝘅 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗵 The fox and hedgehog concept, popularized by philosopher Isaiah Berlin, categorizes individuals into two groups: 1. foxes who know many things 2. hedgehogs who know one big thing. While specialization is valuable, the adaptability and versatility of foxes, or generalists, often lead to greater success in a world that demands nimbleness and agility. By embracing a multidisciplinary approach, polymaths embody the spirit of the fox, leveraging their diverse expertise to tackle multifaceted challenges with innovative solutions. Escaping the Modern Cave: How Ignorance Persists in the Age of Information Plato's Allegory of the Cave, which explores human ignorance and enlightenment, resonates deeply in today’s digital world. Despite access to unprecedented amounts of information, many remain trapped in ideological 'caves’ clinging to distorted shadows of reality. Whether due to confirmation bias, echo chambers, or misinformation, the persistence of ignorance is not a lack of knowledge but an unwillingness to seek truth. Modern media can often reinforce these shadows. Algorithms designed to boost engagement feed us content that aligns with our biases, keeping us in a loop of affirmation rather than enlightenment. Just as the prisoners in Plato’s cave resist the truth of the outside world, people often reject perspectives that challenge their existing beliefs. Escaping today’s digital cave requires more than access to information—it demands critical thinking, humility, and a willingness to confront uncomfortable truths. True enlightenment, as Plato suggested, is not passive. It requires active participation, reflection, and sometimes, stepping out of the shadows we’ve grown too accustomed to. #criticalthinking #platoscave #digitalage #misinformation #echochambers #knowledgeispower #EnlightenmentJourney #philosophyintech #modernsociety #informationoverload #EscapeTheCave #TruthvsIgnorance #thinkoutsidethecave #platoscloset4life #digitalshadows #stepintothelight #openmindset #philosophyfortoday #challengeyourbias #philosophy #plato

Over the next few weeks, we'll dive into each of the values and what they mean to us. Today, we start with curiosity. Let us know what you think. For starters, curiosity is a verb for us. We get fascinated with ideas and have to deeply understand what's happening. It's our path out of uncertainty. Whether it’s experimenting with AI, diving into consumer attitudes around sustainability, or tackling the mental health crisis, our team leads with wonder. #CuriosityDriven #Innovation #AI #Sustainability #Leadership #MentalHealth #StrategicInsights #Research #BusinessGrowth https://lnkd.in/grDP2YtM

What determines whether a country can emerge from a crisis and become a changed, peaceful society? These days, a very timely two-day international workshop, “New Frontiers in Research on Conflict and War,” is being held at The Harry S. Truman Research Institute at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Peter T. Coleman from Columbia University delivered a keynote speech in a special panel on "Freedom of Speech in Challenging Times." Prof. Coleman, a social psychologist who has been helping Nemat (Minouche) Shafik, the President of Columbia University, navigate its recent crisis, explored how conflict resolution and complexity science provide guidance for dealing with seemingly intractable political differences. He explained that three conditions must be present for a crisis to lead to change: 1. A large enough part of the population must be fed up with the status quo; the society must be motivated enough to change course (ref. Ripeness Theory, Zartman, 2000). 2. Presence of destabilizing events—current factors include COVID-19, AI, war, or polarization—make people question their basic assumptions (ref. Punctuated Equilibrium Theory, Diehl & Goertz, 2001). 3. There must be some sense of where we're going and how to get there (ref. Ripeness Theory, Zartman, 2000). 🧠 Ever wondered, what is logic, really? Is it a method, a feeling, or something we simply recognize? Logic seems to be so grounded, but it’s also deeply human—shaping how we see, decide, and react. But here’s the twist: can we feel logic? And if we do, how do we express it? In a world heavy with conflict, chaos, and shifting truths, maybe logic isn’t just about right and wrong. Maybe it’s about finding a balance between heart and mind, going beyond simple choices to embrace understanding before reacting, and letting reason fuel kindness. Imagine if we practiced logic like an art... imagine a dance between clarity and compassion. maybe then we can ask: What kind of world we live in? And what kind of people are we? #Reflecting #LogicAndHeart #BetterWorld #stopTheWar #gazagenocide

🌏 It’s Not Our World, It’s Us (by Jeroen Kraaijenbrink) What BANI really means and how it corrects our world view "Every word we use and every concept we use to describe the world around us says something about ourselves. This was the case with “dynamic,” “turbulent,” “VUCA” and all other concepts used to describe our difficulties with grasping and controlling the world. But #BANI takes this to a new level. Rather than saying something about the world, it first and foremost says something about how we perceive it. It is not the world that has become more Brittle, Anxious, Non-Linear, or Incomprehensible. It us us who finally have to let go the #illusion that it is not. As such, BANI is one great reminder for all of us. We’re living in a world that’s delicate, uncontrollable, unpredictable and impossible to comprehend. Let’s celebrate, accept and wonder." ℹ For more: https://lnkd.in/dg9aJygX 💡 I really like Jeroen's invitation to be what is. It is an invitation to come back to #presence, an ability we human can call in through our #bodyperception and #attention in any moment. This is why I teach #embodied_leadership, so to rise together our #resilience and #adaptability to whatever life challenge we face and invites us to celebrate each milestone we achieve.

Curious about how our experiences shape the grand narrative of existence? Dive into this segment from my latest essay, where I explore how cutting-edge AI informs consciousness, suggesting that each of us is an agent in the universe's journey toward its ultimate purpose by finding the best training data and acting on it. Shoutout to Red Bull and WhistlinDiesel YouTube Channel for inspiration. It’s about realizing our dreams and understanding the positive forces that guide us. For the tech-minded, this essay is hosted on a custom-modified version of Code With Antonio NextJS (Vercel) Notion clone—something I’d be glad to help you customize as well. Inspired by Jason Reza Jorjani's Closer Encounters and his interview on Danny Jones' YouTube channel, "God, Aliens & the Secret Behind All World Religions," this essay is my canvas for exploring these ideas. If, like me, you've followed The Why Files and find AJ's insights compelling, you're in the right place. Heckle Fish fans, you know what I mean! It also assumes you’ve thought about concepts like reality as an emergent phenomenon of consciousness and the idea that time machines—UAPs—are real. Skeptical? It reads better this way. Our Hopes and Dreams as the Reward Function: It wouldn’t make sense for the universe to set up a negative reward system. Deep down, we each know in our hearts what this positive reward function is—it’s what drives us forward and gives meaning to our experiences. Can you imagine the converse? How would that even work? A universe built on punishment rather than fulfillment would be counterproductive to growth and discovery. Instead, our hopes and dreams serve as the guiding light, directing us toward our individual and collective apotheosis. In the grand scheme, much like in the late great Robbin Williams' What Dreams May Come, we are both the creators and the beneficiaries of a reality that is as expansive, meaningful, and beautiful as we dare to make it. The universe, it seems, is on our side—encouraging us to dream, to strive, and ultimately, to become the best versions of our many selves.

I feel a lot more comfortable now lol. If people I look up to and respect beyond belief were beyond scared of it, I would do them the biggest disservice in the world if I didn't take that seriously. I am pretty sure I can honestly theoretically crack every single element of time at this point: Key Insight: Time is a secondary effect, arising from reality, not defining it. If you destabilize time into chaos, you can restore order by removing its structural foundation (e.g., placing it into fractal space). This aligns perfectly with our experiments.
