We had an incredible experience at the Medlab Asia & Asia Health! 🇹🇭 It was an honor to participate in the Polish Pavilion, thanks to the gracious invitation from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) . We truly appreciate it 🙏 ✈️ Though we've left the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and returned to our office, the memories of this event will stay with us for a long time. The fair provided us with countless opportunities to engage in meaningful conversations and build valuable connections with dealers, distributors, private and public hospitals, government and industry leaders, and healthcare professionals 🤝 We are thrilled to have deepened our understanding of the APAC market and to have been inspired by the educational agenda. A huge thank you to our amazing co-exhibitors: CORMAY DIAGNOSTICS POLSKA, Cyberbone, Medical Inventi S.A., MediSensonic, and Mercator Medical S.A. It was an honor to create the Polish Pavilion with all of you 🇵🇱 Looking forward to the next opportunity to collaborate and innovate together! 💪 Polish Investment & Trade Agency - PAIH Thailand #AsiaHealth2024 #MedlabAsia2024 #APAC #healthcare #digitalhealth #telemedicine

Alright, Medica explorers, let's talk about a often-overlooked goldmine: country pavilions. Here's the deal: These pavilions are microcosms of each country's healthcare market. They're your shortcut to understanding diverse European markets. Here's how to leverage them: 1. Plan your route: Identify key European markets you want to explore and locate their pavilions. 2. Meet local companies: They often have booths in their country's pavilion. Great for partnership opportunities. 3. Talk to pavilion organizers: They're usually well-connected and can provide valuable market insights. 4. Attend pavilion events: Many host networking events or presentations. Don't miss these. 5. Collect market-specific materials: Pavilions often offer reports and data on their healthcare market. Pro tip: Some pavilions have interpreters available. Use them to overcome language barriers and gain deeper insights. Remember, each European market is unique. Country pavilions give you a crash course in these differences, helping you tailor your approach for each market. #medica2024 #medica #internationaltradeadministration #messedusseldorf

RE-START! This word perfectly describes the spirit of the meeting with Vietnam's Vice Minister of Health, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Liên Hương, as Sweden and Vietnam celebrate 55 years of diplomatic relations. Healthcare has been a cornerstone of this partnership, initially driven by Sida – Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. Key milestones include the construction of Uong Bi Hospital in Quang Ninh and Vietnam National Children's Hospital in Hanoi during the 1970s. In recent years, collaboration between Sweden and Vietnam in healthcare has been largely limited to research and medical education exchanges. However, both nations recognize the immense potential to renew and expand this partnership in healthcare and life sciences. With Vietnam's population of 100 million, annual GDP growth rate of approx. 7%, and healthcare expenditure nearing USD 30 billion, the country is a pivotal market for Swedish healthcare and life science companies in Southeast Asia. Key drivers for healthcare investment in Vietnam include an aging population, rising non-communicable diseases (accounting for 74% of deaths), a critical need to expand healthcare infrastructure, heavy reliance on imported medical equipment (roughly 90%), and a rapidly growing middle class, projected to make up 20% of the population by 2030. During our meeting with Viet Nam Ministry of Health Office this week, we reaffirmed a shared commitment to long-term collaboration and agreed to establish a #SwedenVietnamHealthAlliance. In the coming weeks, we will focus on defining detailed objectives and initiatives for this partnership. With the strong support of industry leaders AstraZeneca, Getinge, and Elekta, we aim to spearhead the re-launch of the Swedish-Vietnamese partnership in healthcare and life sciences starting 2025. Many exciting developments to look forward to! Dream Team behind the scenes: Johan Ndisi, Atul Tandon, Nguyen Phong, Teodor Johansson, Nam Hoang, Marcus Persson, Uyen Dam, Huyen Quan

—Nearly Back Home— Just arrived at Zurich Airport and now heading up to Basel. For those that were not part of the Afrisummit this year, you have missed maybe some important move that are happening. And witnessing this is giving me hope for Africa. I have recorded a lot of people and asked them: - Why are you coming here to the Afrisummit? And most of them answered this is a networking platform. Dirk Gey Van Pittius from South Africa said that he would not have been able to talk to the National Regulatory Authorities if he had been calling from his office. - What are the challenges? And here everybody want simplification. I think we start to have the same trend in Europe 😜. There is simplification of processes and to be able to reuse what is already existing (like the PSUR from MDR) and we had a success on it with the Egyptian Drug Authority. Tagging them to show that I credit them with successes. But there is also simplification over Digitalization and here we talk about eIFU or eLabeling or eSubmission but some national authoritied mentioned also artificial intelligence to sort out documents which would help due to lack of qualified resources. A Kudos to Noha El Hariri that I also interviewed and she was nearly on every panel explaining how Egypt took the train of modernization. And we wish that continued for next year. And also to Simone Rudolph-Shortt Professional consultant MedTech QARA Technical who made most of the questions representing the industry. Really someone to know and connect with. Thanks also to the PRA Consultancy and Hubplus Events for the invitation and organization. You can imagine that there were around 200 peoples in backstage to make that all is working well. I also met the great SAHPRA crew from South Africa and I am planning to have some podcast as things are moving there. I hope it is still fine for you Khanyisile Nkuku (putting you on the spot) The presence also of Dario Belluomini from MedTech Europe and Rana Chalhoub from Mecomed made it also a great signal that Europe and Middle East are close partners to these changes. So now I have to sort out all the videos I have recorded and summarize this event. This will be published on my youtube channel so don‘t forget to Subscribe. Thanks again for all the nice words and messages I received from the participants that started with Medical Device Regulation after listening to my podcast and videos. Really a pleasure for me being part of their learning journey. #medicaldevice #easymedicaldevice #regulatoryaffairs
