One of the key learnings of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, everything is content. What started with, let's watch one episode of Sex and the City, ended as my current addiction (again). And yes, you can have an opinion on the series (you love it or hate it, I guess). One thing stands out while I'm watching the episodes. Carrie already showed us, that everything is content. When she has a conversation with friends, runs into a specific situation, or is experiencing something herself, she writes about it. The same applies today, for all of us, who want to create content. Everything is content. Conversations with customers, questions you get, struggles you run into, things that surprise you, and learnings as a professional. So when you get stuck and have no inspiration to write, think of Carrie. Every conversation is input for content. Even a series you are watching on Netflix!

The best comedy? It’s rooted in REAL life. That’s what makes DAPPER Laughs one of my biggest comedic inspirations. For me, he’s more than just a comedian. He’s a storyteller. Someone who’s faced addiction, depression, and the loss of his dad, just like me. His humour is raw, relatable, and unapologetically real. He doesn’t shy away from life’s messiness. Instead, he uses it to make people laugh and think. As someone passionate about mental health, mindfulness, and resilience, I see how humour can be a tool for stress management. It’s a way to process pain, find perspective, and connect with others. If comedy can teach us anything, it’s that even in life’s darkest moments, there’s always a light to find. 👉 Like this? I recently joined the bandwagon and binge-watched Baby Reindeer by Richard Gadd over the weekend. This #Netflix British black comedy-drama thriller miniseries broke me and gave me hope at the same time. It’s a painful yet profound exploration of human vulnerability, boundaries, sexuality and resilience. Watching Donny navigate through emotional, sexual, and drug abuse was heart-wrenching. His struggles with #boundaries, #emotional awareness, self-belief, and self-love are themes that resonate deeply with many of us. Donny, a comedian in the making, finds himself stalked by Martha, a convicted lawyer imprisoned for stalking. Their mutual lack of #love, recognition, validation and sickness created a twisted sense of relatability. Before #Martha, #Donny meets #Darrien, a TV writer who supports his career but subjects him to severe abuse. The series forces viewers to brace themselves for intense scenes of exploitation and manipulation. Though not everyone has faced such extreme situations, many of us have encountered a Martha, Donny, or Darrien in our lives. Martha: Represents the danger of unchecked #fantasies, #limerence, and #romanticizing unhealthy #relationships, which is not unusual. Donny: Highlights the pain of lacking boundaries, self-love, and emotional stability, which is not unusual. Darrien: Embodies the often-overlooked damage of #sexual abuse and the unawareness of its profound impact on victims, which is not unusual. Baby Reindeer is a stark reminder of the importance of boundaries. It’s a testament to the psychological scars that can be inflicted by those we let too close. This true story emphasizes that such characters are not just fictional—they lurk in our lives, teaching us the critical need for establishing boundaries early on. #MentalHealthAwareness #Boundaries #SelfLove #EmotionalWellness #PsychologicalHealing #BabyReindeer #Netflix #letsgetpsych #nikitasingh

The Netflix series Baby Reindeer is trending everywhere and for good reason. If you don’t want any spoilers, then please ignore this post! In a nutshell, the series focuses on Donny Dunn (a fictionalised version of Richard Gadd) and his experiences as a struggling comedian / bartender when he was stalked by a woman named Martha. For those of you who have seen the series, did you have any concerns about Martha’s 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆? We understand mental capacity as the ability to understand information and make decisions. This relates to decisions affecting daily life in addition to important decisions such as making a Will, getting married or even sitting at a bus stop all day and night! Capacity is different depending on the individual, circumstances and decisions to be made. This means it is possible for someone to have capacity to make 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 decisions but 𝗻𝗼𝘁 others. Some individuals (like Martha) can present as being of perfectly sound mind during a brief or initial encounter. Depending on their mood or the type of conversation, that same individual may present as not having mental capacity at all. Lawyers often recommend capacity assessments either as a precautionary or necessary measure depending on the issue. If a client’s capacity is in doubt, a capacity assessment should be undertaken before a decision is to be made. The person assessing capacity does not always have to be a professional. For example, a family member can assess whether someone wishes to be bathed or fed. However, it may be necessary to obtain a formal capacity assessment for more significant decisions! #babyreindeer #donnydunn #richardgadd #martha #mentalcapacity #capacityassessment #happyfriday #fridayfun #foodforthought #willsandprobate #privateclient #netflixseries #privateclientissues #mentalcapacityact #banksvgoodfellow

How to Answer Your Ex: If you are divorcing a narcissist there are some very important things to remember when communicating with them! First, it is best if you communicate through an app like My Family Wizard, or if you are in the middle of having to mediate the app from Split Smart works wonderfully. Next, ask yourself, does this text need an answer? Is it about the kids? Is it urgent? Or, is it just them being mean or mad and spouting off? If the text doesn't need an answer don’t answer it. See, Narcs try to bait you into saying something mean so they can use it against you later and they love the drama it creates. So, don’t feed them, drop it, and let it lay there.
