Hydraulic Ventilation is an important life saving use of the nozzle. The Hydro shutoff brings it. As with any smoothbore nozzle you should remove the tip to enhance smoke ejection. This shutoff has superior venting properties. It easily fits the opening shape unlike the standard ball valve shut off which creates a conical stream shape. It can be placed much further back from the opening to increase air entrainment and it pushes the smoke out rapidly. Just remove the blade tip to optimize performance.
