Solve the #DriverTurnOver issue, at the carrier level, and that carrier experiences #NoDriverShortage And #DriverRetention automatically improves dramatically, since retention is the inverse of turnover !! Amazing !! Welcome to the party !! Now will folks start to take the Star Behaviors, LLC #BehavioralAssessment Platform seriously ... or will they continue to keep their heads #BuriedInTheSand and ignore the #TRUTH ??

The industry has spoken, and it’s about time. Even prominent voices like John G. Larkin, CFA and Lewie Pugh, quoted in this Land Line Media article, now agree: there is 𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲. The problem? #DriverTurnOver. For years, we’ve shouted this truth from the rooftops, backed by data and results. The industry is hemorrhaging drivers not because there aren’t enough, but because outdated methods keep failing. Poor working conditions, low pay, and lack of respect are merely symptoms. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 #PredictiveHiring. But here’s the thing—despite their acknowledgment of the turnover crisis, they still don’t get it. The key isn’t just identifying the problem; it’s solving it. At Star Behaviors, LLC, we’ve cracked the code. The answer is simple: • Identify drivers who embody the qualities, core values, and behaviors carriers need in top-performing drivers. • Recruit and engage them with purpose. • Hire them faster than your competitors. This isn’t theory—it’s what we’ve been proving for years. The carriers who embrace Predictive Hiring are the ones thriving, with stronger fleets, safer operations, and reduced costs. The era of “𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁” is over. Success in trucking recruitment and retention means taking bold steps forward with tools that work. If you want to lead instead of lag, if you’re ready to stop turning drivers into statistics, the solution is here. It’s time to stop talking about the problem and start solving it. Let’s build a trucking industry that works for everyone. #DriverTurnover #PredictiveHiring #StrongerFleets #DriverRetention #StarBehaviors https://lnkd.in/ghZJgTQ8

Thank You Kimberly, for letting me know about this! I agree with how you said things. 1. Hometime is #1 2. Good Pay. 3. Safe equipment and taking care of it.(lights & tires) 4. Ditch the inward facing camera. 5. Drivers don’t like being micro managed. Drivers bring knowledge to a company, they have 50 choices on where to work. Show them they feel valued, and they will stay. Right now the average driver is making $750-$950 a week after taxes, and gone 240 days a year. What I’m asking for, is put yourself in my shoes, think about your pay vs what I make. Think about being watched on a camera vs your own privacy. Think about your time at home being taken away. I’m trying to find ways to bring our thoughts out of the clouds and down to ground level and think at this with logic, not ego. Once we do that, all this makes sense. I promise! My cousin and I have over 25 years of transportation knowledge, we discuss things constantly on ways we can do better as an industry, if you work with us, we can work with you. We aren’t here to fight, argue or be better than anyone else. We (many truck drivers) just want fair pay, respectful home time and not being watched on camera while we dress and share time with our families, can we get that?
What steps should the trucking industry take to bridge the gap between drivers and office staff and improve overall driver retention? 🚛 Addressing Driver Concerns and Enhancing the Trucking Industry: A Call for Change in the Trucking Industry 🚛 Jonathan, a committed CDL-A truck driver since 2019, has provided valuable insights into the challenges drivers encounter today. In response to an earlier post on driver retention, where I emphasized strategies like competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and performance-based incentives, Jonathan suggests that the solution might be more straightforward and cost-effective: RESPECT. “The trucking industry needs a huge change overall! Including training the dispatchers and those in the office. There’s such a huge disconnect between driver and company, contributing to the driver shortage.” Jonathan highlights several key issues: 📞Communication Breakdown: Poor communication and lack of understanding of D.O.T regulations from office staff. 🚫Leadership Disconnect: Leadership often lacks CDL experience, leading to unrealistic expectations and poor decision-making. ⚠️Safety Concerns: Drivers are frequently told not to worry about safety, but they bear the brunt of violations. ❌Unfulfilled Promises: Promises made to drivers are often not kept, leading to frustration and turnover. “Not being heard is the #1 reason why drivers leave. We can’t fix that if organizations aren’t willing to train office staff and understand the driver’s job.” Our industry must listen to its drivers and make the necessary changes to bridge this gap. Let’s work together to create a more connected and supportive environment for our drivers. 🚚💪 #Trucking #Logistics #jbfreporter #DriverShortage #IndustryChange #Communication #Leadership
