One of the perks of working for The Carbon Trust is that we get to work on really exciting projects that can deliver real-world impact on decarbonisation. For the last couple of years one of these projects has been the Heat Pump Ready programme, which is funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (ESNZ) and is aiming to accelerate the uptake of domestic heat pumps in the UK through the development of innovative tools and technologies. One of the key areas that projects are looking at new innovations is the survey, design, and installation process of domestic heat pumps. In this blog with elementalLONDON I run through why innovation is needed in this area and what Build Test Solutions, Green Energy Options (geo) NL, Hoare Lea with Purrmetrix & City Science, and Heatly have been working on through the programme. https://lnkd.in/eMRUTe3J
