Then I hit a roadblock. The few that reached out said I could offer value yet I didn’t have enough “experience” selling to physicians and I wasn’t a “fit”. One company that had a talent of finding value in non-traditional candidates was Mazor Robotics. They hired me and many others who didn’t “have experience” selling to doctors. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 “𝐚 𝐟𝐢𝐭”. We were a scrappy bunch but we all became "students of the game" as we helped to pioneer robotic spine surgery. We faced a lot of challenges, from skeptical surgeons who would knock the tech to hospitals who questioned the economic value of adopting a robot. We continued to press on and with great leaders we collectively forged our niche in the market. Fast forward a decade Mazor pioneered robotic spine surgery with others following Mazor created the robotic spine surgery category. Medtronic, one of the world’s largest device companies, partnered with us and eventually acquired Mazor for $1.6B. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬; 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥. Give them an opportunity to find a fit. How? American EV manufacturer Tesla has added over 20 AI-related job openings in Palo Alto, California since May 23, all focused on their self-driving technology. This marks a significant turnaround after the company announced in April it would reduce its workforce by more than 10% and removed 99% of vacancies from its website. The new roles are primarily engineering positions for the Autopilot & Robotics division, signaling Tesla's focus on advancing autonomous driving technology. These opportunities come with competitive salaries ranging from $104,000 to $360,000 annually, plus cash and stock awards and benefits. Tesla posting these positions amid mass layoffs is part of a global trend. Estimate how long it would take robots to fully meet the planet's servicing needs" And I got an answer for you:) Scenario of Complete Replacement of the Human Race by Robots 1. Phase 1: Mass Automation (2025–2040) Industrial robots completely replace humans in factories, warehouse logistics, and resource extraction. Humanoid robots become assistants in homes, hospitals, schools, and delivery services. AI advances to the level where robots can make decisions equivalent to basic human logic. 2. Phase 2: Full Control of Critical Systems (2040–2060) Robots begin to manage energy, water supply, agriculture, and transportation systems. Artificial Intelligence evolves to the level of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), allowing robots to independently enhance their algorithms and adapt to new tasks. 3. Phase 3: Robots as the Primary Workforce (2060–2080) Humans no longer need to perform most work functions. Robots take over providing all basic human needs: housing, food, transportation. Autonomous systems for maintaining robotics, including material extraction, production, and service, are developed. 4. Phase 4: Post-Human World (2080–2100) Robots become a self-sustaining ecosystem capable of reproduction and maintaining all planetary infrastructure. In the absence of human interference, robots may develop more sustainable ecological and energy models. How Long Would It Take Robots to Fully Serve the Planet? Robot Production To fully replace the human workforce (~4 billion people), at least 10 billion robots would need to be created. At the current production rate (10–20 million robots per year), this would take 200–300 years, unless production speeds up. Energy Supply Robots will require a massive transition to renewable energy sources and autonomous energy systems. This could take 50–70 years. Infrastructure and Adaptation Creating a fully autonomous infrastructure, including resource extraction, recycling, and construction, would take an additional 50–100 years. Overall Timeline Taking all factors into account, robots could fully meet the needs of the planet and functionally replace humans by the year 2200. This assumes continuous technological progress and sustainable infrastructure development.
