As I sit here nursing a sore back.... I can't help but reflect on the paths life leads us down. Just a few years ago, I was swinging hammers and mudding drywall in the construction industry. Today, with a twinge of pain with every movement, I find myself immensely grateful that I'm not still in that line of work. While my current situation might be inconvenient, I can't help but acknowledge how much worse it could be if I were still in construction. The physical toll it takes on the body is no joke, and injuries like this could mean not just discomfort, but also loss of income and potentially even long-term health implications. This moment serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of the choices we make in our careers. Transitioning away from construction wasn't an easy decision, but it was undoubtedly the right one. It's allowed me to pursue a career path that values my skills and expertise while prioritizing my well-being. So, as I navigate this temporary setback, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunities that have led me to where I am today. And while I may be sidelined for now, I'm eager to get back on my feet and continue making strides in my chosen field. To all my friends still working in construction, I salute you.
