In this video, we take you inside the sessions to show how local voices are shaping the future of Spelthorne.    Over 40 local panel members were chosen through an open application and a blind selection process, ensuring and equitable representation of the Borough's diverse demographic makeup. Over two sessions, panel members engaged with 6 tasks and worked collaboratively to provide vital insights and feedback on key aspects of the emerging Spelthorne Design Code. During these sessions, panel members:   ✅ Discussed what makes Spelthorne unique, identified key local characteristics and proposed a vision for their area. ✅ Explored how design principles can enhance community spaces and reflect local identity. ✅ Shared their thoughts on challenges and opportunities for future development.    Their input plays a crucial role in ensuring the Design Code captures the essence of Spelthorne and guides future development that benefits everyone.    🌟 Thank you to our Citizens’ Panel for your time, passion, and ideas!  📢 Don’t forget to subscribe to our engagement hub to stay updated on the Spelthorne Design Code project. Let's lift the basket... Let's free the cat! Every tradition has a story, but not every tradition needs to stay the same. There’s an old tale about placing a cat under a basket during wedding ceremonies for peace. Over time, the purpose was forgotten, but the ritual remained. At D&C Developers, we’ve encountered our own “cat under the basket” moments. Our early projects, Kairos, Capstone, Phoenix, Dynasty, Majestic etc : each had unique identities. But as we evolved, we saw the need to lift the basket, to align our projects under a united identity while celebrating their individuality. This realization led to a transformation.
