Seeking full time opportunities in the Biotechnology landscape
Happy Monday everyone! As I near the completion of my Master's in Biotechnology program at The Johns Hopkins University, I've been reflecting on a journey deeply rooted in scientific curiosity and skill acquisition. Throughout my time at Hopkins, especially in the Andrew Lab at the The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, I've delved into exciting projects that demanded innovative thinking and rigorous scientific methods. My work has not only sharpened my skills in 𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬—such as molecular cloning, PCR, qPCR, cDNA library preparation, Western Blots, and ELISA—but also in exploring 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 by performing transfection, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP). My experience has taught me that technical expertise alone isn't enough—it's about how you apply that knowledge towards solving real-world problems. This understanding has been reflective as I hope to transition my skills towards more integrative applications, aiming to bridge the gap between experimental research and therapeutic development.
The unpredictability of science teaches that adaptability and curiosity are crucial, qualities that I want to carry into every challenge. Looking ahead, I'm eager to apply this mindset in a role where my efforts will have an impactful impact on patient outcomes, particularly in roles that harness my background to propel cutting-edge research forward.
𝐈'𝐦 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 where I can contribute effectively, continue to learn and grow within the field of biotechnology. Let's connect if you think my 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 or if you have any advice on transitioning into impactful biotech roles. Feel free to check out my profile to learn more about my previous work experiences:)
Thank you for being part of my journey, and I look forward to where curiosity leads me next in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology landscape. 🔬
