We are hiring more interns now at Candela and let me tell you upfront that these internships are not for everyone. It will be a roller coaster ride and if you don’t enjoy roller coasters then you should not get on them. There will be no formal training period, from Day1 you will be given real work to do and real and practical problems to solve, and you will be given an opportunity to test your intellectual and creative limits while we still give you lots of opportunities to fail safely, ask lots of questions, learn and collaborate. Remember that our goal is to help you gain multi-dimensional skill sets that we believe would put you on an accelerated career path. Each person in our company is like a mini startup, you build products, test products, market products, support and even sell your products and through that process you learn so many things that would sometimes take decades to learn in larger companies. If you are looking for a peaceful predictable one-dimensional 9 to 5 kind of job, and worried about work life balance at age 21, Candela may not be the place for you, Even after reading all of this, if you still want to apply for an internship, you can click on the link below and follow the instructions provided: https://lnkd.in/gAathsP8

3 learning points from week 3 I completed the third week of my internship with Warner Bros. Discovery, and I have a quick recap of three things I learned. • As a developer, if you're stuck for more than 30 minutes, just ask for help. Having another pair of eyes look at your problem can save you a lot of time and give you a fast turnaround to being productive again. Shoutout to my mentor, Francisco, for looking at my code and fixing my problem in a tenth of the time it took me trying to figure it out. • Make it a priority to balance work and personal life. I find it easy to get caught up in the excitement of my work, but I don't let it seep into my activities past working hours. Placing healthy boundaries is the key to avoiding burnout and long-term productivity. • Take the time to appreciate the present. These past three weeks have blown by and a part of me hasn't processed that I've finished a quarter of my internship. As I continue my internship one day at a time, I'll celebrate the small things like the nice walk to the office, seeing that the snacks were restocked, and having friendly chats with coworkers.

July 2024. Many people will excitedly anticipate summer vacations and plan adventurous activities filled with fun. While exploring multiple opportunities, I was already considering universities because I wanted to seize the best options available for my future. An internship was being sought by me. I had several opportunities to join a new project with Kontorra Studio Almaty. Very friendly and cooperative, their team accepted me as an intern, and welcomed me warmly. Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) Almaty gave them an order and we created a presentation for the new BMW X5 2024. Since this was one of my first serious internships, I tried my best to please the entire team and worked hard. In total, our team of 15 people worked for 4 weeks on this project, during which I contributed over 90 hours. I worked in three formats—online, as I was traveling during part of the internship, in the Kontorra studio, and, of course, onsite at the Bavaria Auto Center in Almaty. This was a significant experience for me, as I got to work in both offline and online environments. I researched materials for the presentation and I prepared them. I helped with the technical parts, and I also took part in filming. The people I worked with were one or two lifetimes older than me and that was the most interesting part. Some jokes were made about it, while my age surprised others, as I was only 15 at the time. Communication skills were developed by me through interaction with the team and BMW engineers while the BMW X5 presentation was worked on. I analyze complicated technical information clearly, learn from my mistakes and improve continuously.

Just finished my 3.5-month internship at Resorts World Genting! 🎉 It was an incredible and eye-opening journey where I didn’t just come to learn but also made amazing friends along the way. Exploring different departments—from the casino 🎰 to theme parks 🎢, central kitchen ⏲️, hotels 🏨, and the spa 💆♂️—gave me practical insights beyond what I learned in university. Here’s what I took away from this experience: 1️⃣ Gained valuable hands-on experience in the hospitality and tourism industry 🏨🎡 2️⃣ Strengthened my communication skills by collaborating with different teams across departments 💬🤝 3️⃣ Learned that mistakes are part of the learning process and that they help you grow 🌱 4️⃣ The importance of asking for opportunities—I took the initiative to request cross-department involvement in audits, which opened doors to even more rewarding experiences 🚀 This internship was truly a life-changing chapter for me. I’m excited to carry these lessons into the future! 💪✨ #internship #ResortsWorldGenting #learning #growth #opportunity

🍀 Wrapping Up My 6-Month Hostel 🍀 A month ago, I successfully completed my 6-month internship at a hostel. This experience offered me significant learning and growth, helping me bridge the gap between theory and practice. With knowledge I gained during my studies in uni - where I focused on understanding customer psychology and analyzing market trends. I was able to apply these insights in real-world situations to deliver better service to guests. - What I Learned 📖 Customer Service Skills: I learned how to understand and meet the diverse needs of travelers from around the world. Problem-Solving Abilities: Working in a fast-paced environment honed my ability to respond quickly to unexpected situations, helping me develop flexibility and strong decision-making skills. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations emphasized the importance of clear communication and effective teamwork in a dynamic setting. -Personal Growth 💪 Bridging Theory with Practice: I applied my academic understanding of market trends and customer behavior to improve service delivery, which was both challenging and rewarding. Enhanced Multitasking: Managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously helped me refine my time management and prioritization skills. Global Perspective: Engaging with people from diverse cultures expanded my worldview and fostered a more global mindset, an asset for future endeavors. Responsibility and Initiative: Taking ownership of my tasks allowed me to become more proactive, strengthening my sense of responsibility and initiative. This internship has been a turning point in my life and professional development. I’m excited to apply these skills and insights to future opportunities. 💪 #internship

Why not build your own internship experience? Current intern Emily @gracefullnutrition chose to get the most out of her business rotations by opting to travel for an in-person rotation/mini vacation! Hear what Emily had to say about her experience below 👇 “I connected with Clara Collie @redemptivehealth and we initially planned to do a virtual rotation, but decided it would be worthwhile to get an immersive experience and have an excuse to spend a few weeks in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. That was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made during my dietetic internship. Getting to build relationships in person in a new place was a refreshing and energizing experience. It was also around the halfway point of the internship, which made it the best timing to get out of my normal routine and spend some time in the mountains. My time with Clara was full of great conversations about starting a private practice, and a taste of great work-life balance. One of my favorite things about this rotation was taking daily walks during lunch for movement, fresh air, and a mental break. Taking a decent lunch break was something that I used to neglect, but I was able to learn how vital it is as an entrepreneur to schedule in structured breaks, no matter what is on the to-do list. I left this rotation with not only more confidence in my approach to nutrition counseling, but also a new perspective on carving out time for self-care during the workday. If you get the opportunity to travel for a rotation, I would 10/10 recommend it!”
