The Pedestal Up/Down camera movement involves raising or lowering the camera vertically while maintaining its fixed angle. This technique is perfect for revealing key details, emphasizing scale, or creating dramatic effects in your scenes.

Shooting in the Fog: Leeds in the fog? Grab your camera! Fog can make scenes look mysterious, softening everything and adding mood. Just go with manual focus, though – fog can confuse the autofocus. https://www.rfr.bz/l347fa9

I love David’s honesty and I love being challenged. We met a few weeks ago and he openly asked me ‘for the past five years people have been saying video is about to take over, and it hasn’t. So why now?’ The answer is pretty simple, technology has caught up with viewer demand. 👉 Your phone now films insanely good footage & its storage can cope with the file sizes 👉 Editing apps are more simple and creative than ever before 👉 Platforms have changed to prioritise video content over text & photos 👉 Viewers want to engage with the person/people behind a business, not a faceless logo That’s why video is now driving business growth online. Just look at LinkedIn, 2024 was the year when it openly admitted to only ‘catching up’ with making video a central part of the platform. So don’t miss the gravy train, after years of being told ‘video is the next big thing’, it finally is. #TheOnlineMediaCoach #VideoMarketing #DigitalMarketing #VideoProducer #LinkedInVideo
This video should make you feel better when you decide it's time to jump on camera.

Sunset on an island pond A puzzle that I am often confronted with when looking at contrast is whether to use the full dynamic range of the camera. It can often be an impactful and powerful demonstration of how cameras have progressed and the techniques that expand the vision beyond a typical image. With that in mind, contrast is an important element to balance in that consideration and when all tones are expressed - often contrast dimishes as a product of that. In this image, colour and separation are important to the story of what I saw and I chose not to go the HDR route; rather, it is about selectively choosing the tones I want (magenta and orange are powerful in this one) and letting light and dark anchor the image.

1windeed a beautiful piece of art and technology, but it is far from my possibilities. So I'll never be able to do work with something like that. for 2025 I will focus on the evolution of my photography, focus on absorbing as much information as possible and cultivating more in photography.
