A concerning trend I see in the city is that the privileged people purchasing the farmland or managed farms for educational purposes, weekend gateways or to teach their younger one about the importance of soil, this purpose only serves when those land produce food for larger community. However, the key question is whether these farms are maintained sustainably. Farming is not owning a land, it's about we personally getting connected to the roots. It was inspiring for me to hear that farmer mother express her desire for her children to pursue agriculture, so that they can provide food for at least four people.
