Why do people say, 'If you don't travel, you know only one page of a whole book'? . . . . Spending a week in Shimla gave me a different perspective on life. Coming from a small town in Bihar and living in the busy city of Gurgaon, Shimla felt like a whole new world. During my time there, I noticed how people in Shimla have a slower pace of life compared to what I'm used to. They seem more in tune with nature and less rushed by the demands of modern life. The daily routines of the people in Shimla revolve around the mountains and the weather. They adapt to the changing seasons and embrace the simplicity of mountain living. From chatting with locals to observing their daily activities, I gained a deeper understanding of the close-knit community and strong connection to the land that define life in Shimla. This experience gave me a different insight into the way people live and interact in different environments. It's a reminder to appreciate the beauty of simplicity and the importance of living in harmony with nature. Moreover, I realized why people say, "If you don't travel, you only know one page of a whole book." Traveling opens our minds to new experiences, cultures, and ways of life, enriching our understanding of the world around us. 🌄 #ShimlaInsights #MountainLiving #NewPerspectives #TravelEnriches

#TheNexBigThing Update 22: Busy exploring the port city, Mangalore, a one of its kind multi-cultural commercial hub.✨ Photo 1: Sultan Bateri, constructed in 1784 by Tipu Sultan, is a watchtower that still stands to this day. It is a structure of endurance that blocked many warships from entering the region. Photo 2: An iconic focal point of the city that has been showing time to travelers for decades, recently renovated. The modern-day enabler of mobility, #TheNexBigThing, paid homage. Photo 3: The largest port in Karnataka and the deepest inner harbor port, this is not just a logistics marvel; it also stands for sustainable development, with a deep focus on reducing emissions and winning the Greentech Environment Award. Photo 4: While we love Diesel cafe, and had to make a stop. It was interesting to call it Electrifying Cafe for a change. Embracing Tradition and Sustainability: Celebrating Nag Panchami Nag Panchami is a traditional Hindu festival celebrated in India, particularly in the state of Maharashtra. It is a day dedicated to worshiping snakes, especially cobras, which are considered sacred in Hindu culture. Today, in Maharashtra and across India, we celebrate Nag Panchami—a festival that beautifully intertwines our rich cultural heritage with the principles of sustainability. On this day, we honor the cobra, a revered creature that plays a crucial role in our ecosystem, particularly in agriculture by keeping the rodent population in check. Nag Panchami is more than just a festival; it's a reminder of how deeply ingrained the concepts of biodiversity and environmental stewardship are in our traditions. For generations, we've recognized the importance of every species, ensuring that each one is respected and valued. IN a world where sustainable development goals are becoming increasingly important, I'm proud to be part of a culture where sustainability is a way of life, passed down through centuries. Celebrating Nag Panchami is a way of showing gratitude to nature and acknowledging the balance it provides, which is essential for our survival and prosperity. Let's continue to honor and protect our environment, not just today, but every day. 🌿#Sustainability #NagPanchami #CulturalHeritage #Biodiversity #SustainableDevelopment #ProudCulture #EnvironmentalStewardship

What if a single dish could carry the legacy of an entire culture? That's how Dahibara Express was born. A brand is about uplifting the experience and connection with people. When we began the search for our brand name, we knew we wanted something that lived in the hearts of people. If you observe closely, the heart has no place for over-complicated things—it’s the simple, meaningful ones that stick. In Odisha, Dahibara and Bara carry a deep emotion. These aren’t just dishes; they’re comfort, memories, and a shared culture. That’s why we chose Dahibara Express. We wanted a name that speaks to our roots, a name that’s easy to recall and instantly relatable. Our goal is clear: to take Dahibara beyond Odisha, across India, and eventually, the world. We’re building a platform for all varieties of bara—Dahibara, Dahi Bhalla, Kanji Bara, and more—giving them the recognition they deserve. Dahibara Express ™ isn’t just about serving food; it’s about sharing a familiar experience, wrapped in simplicity, that resonates with everyone. #dahibaraexpress #odiapride #fromlocaltoglobal #brandwithpurpose #foodforthesoul #foundersjourney #buildingabrand #entrepreneurmindset #founderlife

During my recent trip to Meghalaya, I was eager to experience Umngot, Asia's cleanest river, nestled in the Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya's Dawki region. According to Google, it was about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Shillong, so I enlisted the help of my new found Khasi friend Jerry. Jerry and we set off early in the morning in his Maruti 800, excited for the journey. The climate and ecosystem was compelling us to play Ilayaraja music , in particular “Kattumalli” , but the travel time and risk of mobile charging capabilities during travel decided to play it only in mind. However, as we traveled, my conversation with Jerry shifted to the reality unfolding before us. Instead of spotting any wild animals crossing warning board, we were greeted only by heavy JCBs and trucks. Initially, I took pride in the presence of these mega vehicles, thinking they were part of developmental road construction. But as we approached Dawki, the truth became painfully clear: these mega machines were part of a massive operation for mining limestone and coal in the Jaintia Hills. The Jaintia Hills, once celebrated for their pristine beauty, are now marred by extensive mining activities that are ravaging the environment. At the Dawki land port, the sight of resources being transported to Bangladesh drove home the extent of the exploitation. As we celebrate Independence Day today, it's a poignant moment to reflect on how we use our freedom. India fought valiantly to escape the grasp of the East India Company exploitation, yet today we face new forms of exploitation threatening our natural resources. The Jaintia Hills, once home to courageous freedom fighters like U Kiang Nangbah, who fought now silently endure the fallout of reckless development. Dawki is celebrated for its natural allure and promoted as an eco-tourism destination, but the harsh reality surrounding it reveals a different story. Irresponsible use of freedom can have dire consequences for our future. It's crucial to address these issues and embrace sustainable practices to protect our environment and way of life. As we honor freedom fighters like U Kiang Nangbah, let’s also commit to using the freedom they fought for in a responsible and caring manner. #Dawki #Jaintia #MyTravel #UKiangNangbah #Resource #Freedom #Responsibilty #meghalaya
