Systematic assessment of exactly which environmental exposures cause cancer is the task of the WHO/IARC. Contributing to this is a call of duty for scientists active in cancer prevention research.

Imagine having unlimited resources to scale based on increased #patient volume or perhaps staffing shortages. That is exactly what a #GenAI mentor can do for your organization. With a shortage of #nurses, #care managers and #physicians why not use technology to free resources to focus on the more complex needs of patients? Here is just one example, the #AI resource underwent training to fulfill the role of an information desk agent at a #provider. His training involved familiarizing himself with proprietary data from a provider named LMC. Thoughts of an oncologist on real-world data. Real-world data on “why, what, how” is a discussion I have in every single formal and informal forum I join. Reality is we are “data rich”, we have huge amounts of diverse data, consisting of structured, unstructured, and derived variables. Analysing real world data can open the door to answering critical questions we can’t address in clinical trials, as non practical, non ethical or non feasible. Many questions to address. How can we use these data resources to enable us understand better disease patterns, and health care through out the whole cancer journey? How can we link these data together? What are the methods to use? Bryant Lin, MD, MEng, the co-founder of Stanford’s Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE), dedicated much of his career advocating for research on lung cancer among Asian American non-smokers. Now, he faces the very disease he had long fought to reduce. Lin openly shares about his cancer prognosis.
