SPEED & AGILITY - Legacy: “We’ll get to it next quarter.” - Cloud-native: Launch. Test. Scale. Today. Think about it: While you're waiting for approval... Your cloud-native competitor just: - Launched 3 new features - Tested 7 pricing models - Scaled what works best 2. CUSTOMER INSIGHTS - Legacy: “Here’s what they bought.” - Cloud-native: “Here’s why they bought, what they’ll want next, and how to 10x their lifetime value.” Better insights = Better offers = Bigger profits. 3. INNOVATION Legacy players? They’re bringing a knife to a gunfight. While they’re still debating chat support, cloud-native platforms are: - Deploying AI-driven assistants - Testing social commerce - Processing crypto payments As you can see, the gap between legacy and cloud-native isn’t closing—it’s only getting wider. Composable commerce is changing ecommerce by breaking down monolithic platforms into independent services. This allows for more flexibility but also brings new challenges. Here’s why: 1. Microservice Errors Each component (e.g., search, checkout, product recommendations) is managed separately. If one fails, it can disrupt the entire system, making error tracking complex. 2. API Failures APIs connect everything. When one fails, it can break multiple services at once, leading to issues like missing products or payment errors. Pinpointing which API is the problem can be a nightmare without proper monitoring. 3. Data Inconsistencies With so many data sources feeding into one system, even minor inconsistencies, like mismatched prices or missing inventory, can cost businesses revenue and erode customer trust. Traditional error monitoring falls short here.
