On December 13th, we celebrated our amazing team at the end-of-year Hui, including the much-anticipated Employee of the Year Award! Every member of our team brings something special to Haka House, but this year we were excited to honour one standout individual, Kodi Macdonald, for his exceptional motivation, exemplary drive, and positive attitude. Thank you to our team for another fantastic year. We can't wait to see what the next one brings!

Now I am going to start this by celebrating IRUKA it is not just enough to create impact But also to build the individuals creating impact one thing we always miss is that we want to add value to the world,we want to be the solution But the first step is making sure your team members are better your team members are the first line of impact This was awarded to me but I would like to dedicate this to my team members Lidadi Oriarewo and Jennifer Sunday Garba it is very easy to have the vision and ideas but it is easier when you are not walking and working alone For a melancholic we all know our forte is perfectionism and I struggled with delegation of tasks before coming into IRUKA I was torn between not burdening people with so much tasks and not being so sure that they would measure up I did not want mistakes But thank God for grace one thing that has really helped is keying my members into the vision ,making them understand their importance and that we are a team Breaking down tasks- I work with sub teams or tasks lists because I understand that not all fingers are equal and most times presenting something as a whole can be tasking so I break down tasks for my team members I also understand their strenghts and weaknesses ,in every team there is the leader, the support system, the administrator who works in the background one has to be careful to know where each person fits to know how to maximize their potentials Also listening to ideas giving them the opportunity to come up with ideas and giving them responsibilities everyone is important because we are all unique the beauty of a team is effectively understanding the beauty of our diversity and working together to harness it Delegating does not make you weak ,team work does not stop you from being a leader instead it helps you to effectively create a system where everyone makes impact The truth is everyone is important and everyone can make impact they just need the opportunity which every leader should be willing to give their team members I am grateful to IRUKA for the opportunity to grow and flourish as a leader and I am grateful to my amazing team members Lidadi Oriarewo Jennifer Sunday Garba this award belongs to us working in HR hospitality has not been easy from brainstorming to creating the community engagement structure, welfare ,planning events but together we have made it work and this is just the beginning of greater impact #teamwork #impact #celebratingsuccess

IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO AT WORK: - be in a place that isn’t work - talk about things that aren’t work - learn about your colleagues beyond who they are in work Yesterday was lovely, motivating and also relaxing after the slog of the last few weeks. Here’s to more of these! 🙌 #studio #team #teambuilding
What an incredible team ⚡️ TEAM GOALS ⚡ Yesterday marked our second Spark Inside Out day, and it was fantastic! We kicked things off by continuing our Confidence Programme. This time, everyone practiced their presentation and public speaking skills by sharing their Unpopular Opinion. The topics were definitely intriguing, with plenty of laughs, debates and controversy! It was a great way to help everyone step out of their comfort zones. Next, we had our monthly Like Club, which is always a hit and really gets our minds buzzing with fresh ideas. To wrap up the day and clear our heads, we went on a group walk to Rivington Pike. Even the weather was manageable – we had a picnic under the trees, enjoyed the blustery views from the top, and celebrated with cold beers at the bottom. A great way to blow the cobwebs away and bond with the guys! Days like these are essential, and we’re definitely planning more soon. Big thanks to Neil Marra, Calandra Tennant, Charlotte Wand, Olly Sussams, Anna Tolstoluzhska, Kate Rabjohns, Lindsay Brown, Nicol Pomfret, Emillie Watson, Abbie Lawton and not forgetting Max 🐾

It’s that time again—our end-of-quarter team meeting! 🙌 Today, we’ll be diving into our company’s performance, hearing exciting updates from each department, and reflecting on all the hard work that’s driven us forward over the past few months. At the end of the meeting, we’ll also celebrate our top performers with a spin on the "Your IT wheel of prizes!" 🏆 It’s a fun way to recognise those who have gone above and beyond to make this quarter a success. I am looking forward to the updates and celebrating with the team. Let’s keep the momentum going into the next quarter! 🚀 Look out for the winners over the next few days....... How does your company drive Recognition and Teamwork? #TeamMeeting #EndOfQuarter #Performance #Recognition #Teamwork #CompanyCulture

Are you a valuable team player? I believe being a great team player meant always having the answers or taking the lead. Leaders like Valter Adão showed me that no matter your role, being a team player is key. 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀: - Taking the lead: Being in the spotlight. - Showcasing skills: Constantly standing out. - Always speaking up: Having all the answers. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘀: - Listening actively - Being dependable - Celebrating others - Putting the team first - Filling gaps where needed - Knowing your role—leading or supporting 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀: - Give credit - Encourage others - Put the team above their own ego The basics aren't glamorous, but they make TEAMS VALUABLE!

How the New Zealand All Blacks inspired our company Culture Book 🏉 Don’t worry, Kainos hasn’t introduced the haka at the start of team meetings! This is about how the New Zealand rugby team influenced our recently released company culture book… The All Blacks have long been synonymous with excellence, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement. However, their legacy extends far beyond the rugby pitch, inspiring so many people and organisations across the globe. Kainos is no exception. In fact, when we recently launched our company Culture Book, we took inspiration from a key part of the All Blacks’ culture to help tell our story; the little black book. When a player makes the All Blacks, they’re given a small black book, bound in leather. The first few pages are about the club’s legacy, history and what they have achieved over the years. The next section outlines the principles, values, standards and the character of the team. The rest of the pages are blank, waiting to be filled. Each player is encouraged to capture their experiences while playing at the club. This is designed to inspire themselves and others who will follow in their footsteps. We absolutely loved this concept and saw it as a great way to keep our own story alive. So, we decided to implement this in own Culture Book. 📕 Read The Kainos Culture Book: https://lnkd.in/efZ4h6_3 Our Culture Book brings together our history, mission, values and aspirations into one space, providing a foundation for our people to work from. It’s written by our people for everyone who has an interest in who we are and why we do what we do. Best of all, the back pages are blank and we intend to keep our story alive by inviting anyone who works for us, with us or alongside us to add to these. Lots of people in my network will have some great stories, memories or anecdotes about Kainos to share, so if you’d like to make your mark in the Kainos story, please comment below or follow this link: https://lnkd.in/ek4Th-H7 For everyone else, I hope you enjoy reading our story and our commitment to creating a positive and inspiring place to work.

Culture emerges when you add people to a structure. If you want to change the culture, it is far more easy to change the structure than to try to change people.
