📢 At the Energy Hub Italy - H2 Corridor to Europe in Milan, organized by the Foreign Trade Mission of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, our Dr.iur. Massimiliano Coco MIM, MBA had fruitful discussions with potential business partners, decision-makers and experts in the #hydrogen sector from the industrial regions of Northern Italy. These included the railroad infrastructure operator FNM S.p.A., as well as Italian providers of hydrogen solutions and utilities such as A2A, the industrial association Assolombarda, the Fondazione Bruno Kessler - FBK innovation hub and the H2IT - Associazione Italiana Idrogeno . The participation of the Italian gas network operator Snam S.p.A., which plans to supply Austria and Germany with #GreenHydrogen through the South2corridor from Tunisia and Algeria via Italy and Austria to Bavaria by 2030 at the latest, strengthened the cooperation. 🔭 𝐉𝐇𝟐𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩: 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 The final day at JH2T provided valuable opportunities for strategic discussions and industry insights. 💬We engaged in a substantive dialogue with Philippe BOUCLY, President of France Hydrogène, about initiating a #European reflection phase to address the growing interest from multiple stakeholders in the hydrogen sector. Thanks also to Nathalie LOCH - VIALLE and AERBFC for their support. 🍃Our team also visited the local hydrogen production facility, where we received detailed explanations from Haudebert Guillaume (Technical director Inthy) & Fabrice LUCOTTE (EPC Project Manager at COLIBRI ENERGIE)on the processes involved in hydrogen production and storage. This visit, orchestrated by Dijon métropole, allowed us to better understand the practical challenges and applications of hydrogen technology. 🔁Additionally, we toured the ERU (Energy Recovery Unit) with its director, Damien de MALLIARD, observing how Dijon transforms urban waste into energy that powers local infrastructure. ⚡ Journées Hydrogène dans les territoires was a productive venue for connecting with existing clients, meeting new contacts, and deepening our understanding of the #hydrogen market. France Hydrogène released its latest map of French #hydrogen companies global business develoment for May 2024! Here is a press review:   Upstream: - In Tunisia, TotalEnergies, through its JV TE H2, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Republic of Tunisia and the Austrian company VERBUND for a large renewable hydrogen project named “H2 Notos”, for export through Italy, Austria to Germany via pipelines, with a production capacity of 200 kt/year by 2030 in its initial phase.  - Haffner Energy has launched its subsidiary in the United States to support its business development in North America, for the production of clean fuels solutions from biomass. - During the state visit to France by the President of the People's Republic of China, TotalEnergies signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese SINOPEC including low-carbon energiesto to conduct R&D activities in renewable hydrogen projects and CCUS.   Downstream: In the aviation sector, - In Europe, Airbus and its partners, including French aiport operator VINCI Airports, has launched its Ground Operations of LIquid hydrogen AircrafT (GOLIAT) project to demonstrate small-scale liquid hydrogen aircraft ground operations at three European airports: Budapest, Rotterdam and Stuttgart. Blue Spirit Aero announced its collaboration with the Dutch fundation Skyfinity to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen-electric technologies for airborne applications. - In the United States, the Groupe ADP has made a $20 million investment in LanzaJet, an American producer of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, through the conversion of ethanol. Airbus signed a MoU with Houston Airports and the Center for Houston’s Future (CHF) to study the feasibility of a hydrogen hub at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. - In Canada, Airbus and its British/American partner ZeroAvia signed 3 distinct Memorandum of Understanding with Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport and Vancouver International Airport to study the feasibility of hydrogen infrastructure at airports.   In maritime mobility, Genevos was awarded funding from the European Union withgin the ‘H2-SEAS’ consortium for a hydrogen fishing vessel demonstrator to be deployed in three countries from 2026 .   In road mobility, OPmobility will supply high-pressure hydrogen storage systems to the Chinese rail manufacturer CRRC. We showcased an impressive display of Dutch innovation and hydrogen expertise. 🌍 Currently underway at Brussels Expo during the EU Hydrogen Week (Brussels, Belgium), the Dutch pavilion presents 10 Dutch companies showcasing what the hydrogen sector has to offer. 🌏 The Hydrogen Diaglogue 2024 Summit & Expo (Nuremberg, Germany) is scheduled for December 4-5 - Representatives from the Dutch government and industry will participate in discussions and panels, sharing insights and strategies that have positioned the Netherlands as a key player in the hydrogen sector. The global community is working tirelessly to reduce our carbon footprint and combat climate change. Innovative cooperation between countries will drive innovation in hydrogen production and supply and accelerate hydrogen's broad application in industry, mobility, and the built environment. 🫧 "Hydrogen Valleys are not just test beds; they form the missing link between small and giga-scale facilities, which is key to Europe's competitiveness in the green transition," was said at the Tech Tour European Hydrogen Valley Investment Forum 2024 in Riga. 👏 We couldn't agree more! 🤩 With 200+ participants, including Europe's hydrogen technology leaders like Hydrogen Europe, Clean Hydrogen Partnership, ORLEN S.A., and the Top11 European Hydrogen Valleys, the event was a tremendous success. The Basque Hydrogen Corridor, one of the world’s main H2 valleys https://lnkd.in/dGNBNKHj BH2C, the Basque Hydrogen Corridor has been selected by the Mission Innovation – Clean Hydrogen Mission (CHM) as one of the eight leading examples of ‘Hydrogen Valleys’ globally. This recognition places BH2C among the world’s elite of projects driving the energy transition to green hydrogen. The Hydrogen Valleys platform, jointly developed by the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking and Mission Innovation, brings together detailed information on the most innovative and advanced hydrogen projects on the planet. Through this platform, current and future hydrogen project developers can access a valuable knowledge base, facilitating collaboration and transfer of experience between the different actors in the sector. To date, the platform includes more than 98 initiatives in 36 countries, including seven Spanish projects of international relevance: the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C), BenortH2, Green Crane, HyVal, Orange.bat, Green Hysland and the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley. 📣 Excited to share that the Large-Scale H2 Valley of Castilla y León has been presented today at the Innovation Forum of the European Hydrogen Week. ▶The project will produce over 16 kt of clean H2 per year in 9 pilots in an integrated system approach. ✅ This clean H2 will be used to decarbonize mobility, industry and energy applications in the region. 🤝 The project involves 35 partners from 8 EU countries and will receive 20 M€ from the Clean Hydrogen Partnership in addition to funds from national and regional programs and private investment from its partners. ⚙ Within the project, EPRI Europe develops the Hydrogen Valley Smart Advanced Virtual Advanced Tool (HVSAVT), collects data from H2Valley operation and works on optimization of the elements and the Valley as a whole.
