"Have you ever heard of the concept of “Majority World”? Coined by Bangladeshi photographer Shahidul Alam (https://lnkd.in/gY53es9h), it refers to the fact that people belonging to contexts called “developing” or “Third World” are, well, exactly that: the majority of the world’s population.” - Miša Krenčeyová, Fairpicture Credit: Mauro Vombe/ HelpAge / Fairpicture #Fairpicture #VisualStorytelling #ImpactfulPhotography #EthicalJournalism #Sustainability #Nonprofits #NGOs #CorporateResponsibility #EthicalStorytelling #CommunityStorytelling #FairContentProduction #ImpactDriven #Photography #RepresentationMatters #Storytelling #EthicalFundraising #EthicalVisualCommunication #VideoProduction #PhotoProduction #FreelancePhotographer #Dignity

BUMPs tip of the week: Choose imagery wisely People remember 80% of what they see, 20% of what they read and 10% of what they hear. This is one of the many reasons why choosing the right imagery is so important. A good photo evokes emotion and can convey a message that goes well beyond words but be sure you have the rights to use the images. Some ways to safely source imagery: - pay for stock photos - find free stock imagery with the proper rights - create your own images - commission your own photography Connect with BUMP today to learn more! 📲 https://lnkd.in/eSScUVCa #tipoftheweek #howto #raffle #fundraising

Good Morning everyone. It's that time of the week and month where the month has flown by so quickly here at Misty Morning Photography, that I've been focused and busy with Summer Fairs, working on Photos that need editing along with creating new Collage images for myself. After a 2 day weekend of Summer Fairs, at which I became the photographer last minute upon request as their usual person had to drop out with Covid like symptoms! Wishing them a full recovery! Though in their absence it's given me that opportunity to show several quality points with how I work personally as a photographer, which includes: 1. Stepping in and Stepping up for any occasion with minimum notice. 2. That Once I start I capture all the best angles even if I end up with a few hundred images, which is always a good thing! 3. Turn around of images done within 72 hours of the event so that I can create Promo Collage'd images for myself and if required the market organizers. Next Client event is with Help Bristol's Homeless, with their next Art 4 Auction, which I was involved with last year. Dates to be confirmed soon so watch this space! In the meantime it's going to be photographing the Artwork that will be available to buy through the auction and editing those images to make it work for their website and also for all presentations and more to make the event successful! Here are a few images from last year's Art 4 Auction event, looking forward to seeing what we have for this year! #mistymorningphotography #events #charity #support #artwork #auctions #homelessness #bristol #photography

Both of these photographers are fond of using black and white photography as a means of artistic expression. They frequently focus on capturing childhood moments – sometimes using their own children– , but with a unique perspective that allows them to observe and discover, seeking to evoke specific emotions. In addition, both photographers are deeply committed to their research. The intention is not to draw direct comparisons between these different photographers, but rather to provide readers with vivid and evocative images that tell captivating life stories. These images are meant to evoke the timeless childhood scenes captured by renowned photographers such as Helen Levitt and other influential figures from the past. The goal is to transport readers into the world of the subjects and allow them to experience the emotions and narratives depicted in the photographs. These pictures challenge prevailing Western stereotypes by presenting children not as marketing tools or mere consumers but as subjects with their own rich and complex narratives.

The news cycle is complicated right now, but for most entrepenuers, businesses, and non-profits in the local scene, it's business as usual. We still have to put food on the table. Still need to reach more customers. Make more connections. Do something meaningful. My part to play right now is helping companies and organizations with heart attract those customers and make more connections through video. I keep things simple for clients by providing a thorough process, a high-quality experience, and proactive communication - with multiple levels of expertise in video, photo, audio, and strategy. I don't have a business name. It's just me. Let's chat. #smallbusiness #videography #photography #siouxfalls #southdakota #hifromsd
