Last night I DJ a private Halloween Costume Party in Oley Pennsylvania. It made think that Halloween is more than just costumes and candy. It’s a time to unleash creativity, build community, and embrace a little fun in our professional lives! Whether you’re decorating your workspace, hosting a virtual costume contest, or swapping spooky stories during coffee breaks, there’s something about this season that brings teams closer together. But beyond the fun, Halloween reminds us that stepping out of our comfort zones and taking risks (even if it’s just for a costume) can spark innovation and new ideas. Just like choosing a bold costume, sometimes we need to make daring moves in our work to discover fresh opportunities. How are you celebrating Halloween at your workplace this year? Costumes? Office decor? Team-building tricks and treats? I’d love to hear your ideas! Let’s make this a Halloween to remember—and maybe even use it as inspiration to take some creative risks in our day-to-day work. #Halloween #TeamBuilding #Creativity #OfficeCulture #FunAtWork #Events #WorkplaceFun #Innovation #HalloweenInTheOffice #WorkEvents

#CostumeParty #WorkplaceFun #Halloween #HRAdvice Hey everyone! 🎃 I’d love to tap into your collective wisdom today. So, here’s the scoop: I’ve been in HR for about four years now and recently started managing my own small team. With Halloween around the corner, we’re tossing around the idea of throwing a costume party at work. Sounds fun, right? But here’s where my anxiety kicks in—how do I effectively set boundaries around costumes? 🤔 My biggest concerns are: Costumes that could be seen as NSFW: We all know Halloween can bring out some...interesting choices, and I definitely want to maintain a professional environment. Violent or offensive themes: Some costumes can tread into really sensitive territories, and I want to avoid any discomfort. In my past experiences, I’ve learned that clear communication is key. A few strategies I’m considering are: Establishing Theme Guidelines: Maybe we could set a fun theme (like “Superheroes” or “Classic Movie Characters”) to guide costume choi... Wishing you and yours a very thrilling and safe Halloween! Here are 10 safety tips for you: - Decorate costumes and bags of candy with reflective tape and wear light colors if possible. - Choose face paint and makeup instead of masks, which can obstruct a child’s vision. - Have kids carry glow sticks or flashlights to help drivers see them. - Avoid getting lost by establishing a route and sticking to it. - Have your child carry a discreet identification card in case they get separated from the group. - Cross the street at corners, using traffic signals and crosswalks. Make eye contact with drivers before crossing. - Turn your headlights on earlier in the day to spot children from greater distances. - Slow down and be especially alert in residential neighborhoods. Take extra time to look for kids at intersections, medians, and curbs. - Most trick-or-treaters are out between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Be especially alert for kids during this time. - Check all candy to make sure it's sealed. Toss candy that is open, spoiled, and anything homemade by someone you don't know. #happyhalloween #gotoencore #encorerealestate #gotorealtor #lorigoto #realestate #halloween #safety #trick #treats
