🎮 ECHOES OF AEVUM: Active Experiential Learning through VR for STEM Education 🌌 As the designer and developer of Echoes of Aevum, I’ve crafted a VR experience that transforms abstract STEM concepts into unforgettable, hands-on adventures through immersive learning technologies. The project focuses on 9th and 10th-grade learners, blending education and engagement seamlessly. Set in the abandoned halls of the ancient Xanadu civilization, players step into the shoes of an apprentice in the Order of Auralis, tasked with unraveling the mysteries of a world frozen in time. The game world is much more than a setting—it’s a carefully crafted narrative space where sound concepts, like resonance, come alive through interactive mechanics and dynamic architecture. By connecting abstract ideas to visceral experiences, the game deepens conceptual understanding while keeping players engaged. This project represents the intersection of narrative-driven design, educational innovation, and the potential of VR as a learning tool. From designing hybrid architectural styles inspired by Southeast Asian influences to tackling technical challenges in Blender and Unity, this journey has been a deeply rewarding blend of creativity and problem-solving. Stay tuned for Part 2, where I’ll dive into the design challenges, technical development, and how I integrated educational goals with immersive storytelling. 🔗 If you're exploring the future of learning in VR or love narrative-driven design, I’d love to hear your thoughts! #VirtualReality #EdTech #EmbodiedLearning #ImmersiveTechnology #STEMEducation #ImmersiveLearning #InteractiveLearning #GameBasedLearning #VRInEducation #GameDesign #VRDevelopment #XR #LearningThroughPlay #ActiveLearning #EducationalInnovation #FutureOfLearning #NarrativeDesign

Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio: 2024: The Year Education Broke Free from Its Traditional Walls When I started exploring virtual reality in education, I never imagined we'd be literally walking through ancient Egyptian temples or reconstructing historical moments with just a headset. But here we are – and the future of learning has never looked more exciting! This year was about proving that technology isn't just a classroom accessory – it's a portal to immersive, transformative learning experiences. From developing my first educational VR game about Ancient Egypt to presenting augmented reality techniques at the Apple Distinguished Educators Summit, every project was a step towards reimagining how we connect students with knowledge. Highlights that redefined my understanding of educational innovation: • PhD Journey: Accepted into the Educational Technology Innovation program at UFRN, where I'm exploring how emerging technologies can revolutionize learning. My core belief? Technology can democratize education, making complex concepts accessible and engaging. https://lnkd.in/dp9RHTYh • VR Game Development: Created an immersive historical puzzle game through the Zoe Creator Program, where students solve mysteries using Egyptian artifacts. It's not just a game – it's a new language of learning. "The game has 3 levels, and players need to solve puzzles involving Egyptian artifacts." https://lnkd.in/dZJ-pUM5 Beyond these milestones, 2024 saw the publication of my book Creative Education: A Guide to Strategies for Amazing Classes – a love letter to educators brave enough to reimagine learning. Looking ahead to 2025: I'm diving deeper into VR game development for history education. My mission? To prove that learning can be an adventure, not a chore. To every educator pushing boundaries, every student hungry for new ways of understanding the world – obrigado e thank you for making this journey possible. The future of education isn't just technological. It's human. #EdTech #VRinEducation #ARinEducation #EducationalInnovation #TeacherLife #LinkedInRewind #Coauthor #2024wrapped

No doubt VR /AR is the next-tech that is going to completely change the Human Ecosystem setting new course for experience, development and even evolution. Now the shoots of actual AR/VR application is emerging with designer taking charge after the hype created by big consultancy managers and gurus, fall flat. Nice application idea and equally nice execution. The detailing, interaction created and flow, shows the passion and perspiration behind it. It has immense potential specifically in countries like India where the quality of education needs massive improvement and dwindling teacher student ratio.
