Giatec was proud to be a part of the Philadelphia Schuylkill River Trail bridge project with PKF-Mark III, Inc.! Use Case: - PKF used our SmartRock wireless sensors to monitor concrete strength and temperature. Impact: - Real-time notifications sent to the PKF team's mobile app, when desired concrete temperature and strength was reached. Ongoing results: - Scheduling Efficiency: Accurate data on concrete strength helped in scheduling subsequent construction activities efficiently, minimizing downtime and delays. - Cost Management: Monitoring prevented issues like delayed curing or weak spots, reducing costs associated with repairs, rework, and project overruns. Provided large savings on utility costs due to precise monitoring and notifications of concrete temperature. - Quality Control: Sensors ensure the curing process meets specified parameters and standards; and provide precise data for documenting concrete performance. We're proud of the progress, and look forward to supporting PKF and their concrete operations for the remainder of their project duration!
We here at PKF-Mark III, Inc. are thrilled and proud to share this progress update from CBS Philadelphia on our Philadelphia Schuylkill River Trail bridge project. Our team, along with PennDOT and the City of Philadelphia, has put a lot of hard work and dedication into this project helping to connect some of the outlying neighborhoods to Center City! Who runs a National Park Authority? That’s one of the big questions the current consultation is exploring – so get involved. It looks at issues like the size and the balance of the Board. In our other two National Parks at least 60% of members must be local – either directly elected, or councillors nominated by local authorities. Directly elected members: The idea is to ensure there’s a group there directly chosen by voters whose focus is the Park. Councillors: People who have been elected by voters and who represent areas within the Park boundaries. The idea is to ensure that the Park and councils work closely together and that decisions take in many different perspectives. Expert input: The remaining members are people with specialist knowledge and expertise who are nominated by Scottish Government. GNPA’s view is that a relatively small Board might work well for Galloway, and the numbers would depend on the eventual size of any new Park. What’s hugely important, though, is for you to make your voice heard and to help shape these important decisions. There are nearly 30 in-person events currently planned where you can have your say and an online form you can fill in – see https://lnkd.in/eubJcbrX. #greatforgalloway #gallowaynationalpark #howitworks
