Just a small error, you can’t be a leader if you don’t define yourself at first as an employee.
I say all of the time to my mindfulness students: mindfulness helps you master the ability to be comfortable being uncomfortable. That requires objective awareness - to see things as they are and observe the discomfort without unwarranted reaction. This is a leadership trait that, when we begin to really value, will elevate organizations AND the people who serve them. Thank you for this Michael C. Bush
Thank you for being such a great leader Michael. You inspire us each and every day.

Great message
The last two go hand-in-hand. By design, leaders don't always have all the details and need to lean on their employees for advice, information, and insight. Done correctly, this can generate a tremendous amount of trust between employees and their leaders and fosters an environment where information can freely flow back and forth. This also makes difficult conversations easier when employees need to escalate issues to their leaders when the come up, especially when they are internally-created problems.
