At Dick’s Automotive, every car we service goes through a test drive because we wouldn’t let it leave the lot unless we’d trust our own mothers, sons, cousins—our entire family—driving it. To us, every customer is part of our extended family, and that means ensuring your vehicle isn’t just fixed; it’s ready to safely carry your loved ones wherever they need to go. Our test drives are more than just a quick spin—they’re a thorough check to make sure everything is running perfectly. From the way it handles on the road to the sound of the engine, we pay attention to every detail. If it’s not good enough for our family, it’s not good enough for yours. Because at Dick’s Automotive, family isn’t just who you’re related to—it’s everyone who trusts us with their vehicle. And we take that trust seriously, every single time. 🚗💪 #DicksAutomotive #TestedAndTrusted #ClovisAutoRepair #FamilyFirst #SafeOnTheRoad https://lnkd.in/gKcAnrUe

🚗 A conversation every dealer NEEDS to have... "Who do you refer your clients to when they need to ship their new car?" I asked a new client yesterday. Their response? "Some guy named Chris. I don’t really know much about him." 🤔 So, I followed up with, “How is he doing for you and your clients?” Their reply? "Fine, I guess. He’s slow to respond and pretty expensive." 😳 🔑 Lesson? Your clients deserve more than "Fine, I guess." When it comes to shipping their prized possessions, you want a partner who’s fast, responsive, and puts your clients first. We deliver more than just cars. We deliver confidence and an experience. 💪 Ready to offer your clients the service they deserve? Pop Quiz: do you know what the best-selling vehicle in Utah is? The answer is probably sitting in your driveway, as the Ford F-150 has also been America’s best-selling truck for 46 years. With our state’s rugged terrain and booming industrial economy, it’s no surprise that the F-series dominates the sales charts from Ogden to St. George. But while you can plan out your next trip to Bryce Canyon, nobody can plan for when an accident might knock your Ford out of commission. When that happens, trust our Ford certified technicians to get your truck (or Mustang, or SUV, or work van…) back on the road with original manufacturer parts and our industry-leading lifetime warranty. Even notice how much your car resembles a toddler ? 👼 Both can be adorable, yet full of surprises (and not always the good kind). Having an extended warranty on your vehicle is essential for several reasons: 1. Financial Secuity - An extended warranty shields you from unexpected expenses, ensuring your budget stays intact. 2. Stress free driving - You can drive with confidence knowing that you are covered for major repairs and breakdowns. 3. Enhance resale value - A car with an extended warranty is more attractive to potential buyers, it demonstrates that the vehicle has been well maintained and offers continued protection. We are now offering 15% off all extended warranties - get in touch for a quote. Don't miss the opportunity to safeguard your vehicle and enjoy worry free driving. 💰 E: Lobna@v12automobil.co.uk M: 07576466777 V12 Automobil #carwarranty #extendedcarwarranty #autocar #roadsafety #drivewithconfidence #v12automobil (Average cost of parts for a vehicle)

Forgive the self-promotion, but I have to thank David Tracy and The Autopian for publishing my deep dive on the rise, fall, rise, fall, rise, and ultimate collapse of small car sales in America. I really respect their dedication to stories you won't find anywhere else. I was fascinated to learn that small car sales are tied to more than just gas prices. Through research and interviews, it started to become clear just how much inflation and interest rates drive the market. And after several record years for both, consumers and automakers are feeling the pain of having fewer small car options. Are small cars due for another renaissance? https://lnkd.in/epAZvhrC

In a fairly recent incident with Audi I have the same old getting tired now observations. Billing me R1800 to plug in your diagnostic machine into my car to detail a fault code is outrageous. It is my car, and I own it, and that includes the damned fault codes. If you cannot provide me access to a product that I own that I bought from you we are going to have a problem. Not once, ever, did I pay for a single diagnostic from JLR Sandton. If you think this is a shout out to them, it is. Comparing their actual service with Audi's pretend service is like comparing chalk to cheese. I, on numerous occasions, would drop in unannounced for a chat with a mechanic to ask about something I wasn't happy with on my Landy, and never was I refused access, or a genuine diagnosis. If I had to wait, there was coffee there and a chat with my service rep if he wasn't busy because we liked cars and Landy's in particular. That said. The OEMs all make out for 'better with original parts' as their mantra. I get that keeping parts is expensive and ergo the costs attached thereto are reflected in the price. But when you go from X from Audi to Y from ABC at 1/3rd of the cost, and here's the kicker, with the same crappy one year warranty I have a three year safety margin of error baked into the cake. And I might add the exact same diagnosis offered by my mechanic who fitted this problematic part for me was, ahem, free. Not that we didn't trust Audi to begin with, just that two opinions are better than one. To be fair it's not just Audi that do this. Why is it that a part that is good enough for a five year warranty from new, as in with the car off the show room floor, is only good enough for one fifth of that when replaced as a spare part? Sorry guys. Either the part is actually one good for one year and the OEMs are just risk taking on new cars not falling apart within five years or the OEM parts are good enough for 5 years. Which at a price tag of triple after market parts, they bloody well should be. I think consumers are becoming aware. If not, caveat emptor.
