Day five of the 2024 #research insights wrap-up! For #5, we are taking a trip back to the first quarter of this year, when the GMAC Prospective Students Survey 2024 continued to explore trends in the candidate pipeline, program preferences, mobility considerations, and career goals. Additionally, this year’s report introduced new areas that focus on demand for equity and inclusion, sustainability, and health and well-being in their academic experiences. Here are some quick facts to take into 2025: 🤖 Interest in #AI and its inclusion into curricula increased significantly over the past year 💻 Over the past five years, the preference for hybrid learning increased across the globe, except in Central and South Asia 🏠 Indian candidates are now looking to study closer to home, and Chinese students have less of an interest in studying in the United States 🥇 The two-year MBA took the top spot as the preferred degree spot, and the Master of Management had a strong renewed interest 💪🏼 Candidates are looking to develop strategy and business analytics from their GME curriculum, and problem-solving and data analysis and interpretation are top skills they expect to learn Check out the full report and all of the additional resources to see what candidates are looking for and how you can sharpen your strategies for 2025! https://hubs.la/Q030JrR60 #GMAC #HigherEducation #MBA #BusinessEducation #GMAC2024 #GMACCountdown #NewYearCountdown #GME

Job losses, course closures, declining student numbers, mergers.... UK universities are facing an uncertain future. The pressure to do more with less has never been greater. Great. But what does that mean for marketing teams exactly? Well... clarity on performance and optimising media strategies is key to making the most of tight budgets. To help teams navigate this uncertainty, we'll be hosting regular webinars in the coming weeks to make sure marketing teams have the best chance of success. We're determined to provide a little bit of certainty at an uncertain time. Drop me a DM if you'd like to join the invite list. #hemarketing #highereducation #edtech https://lnkd.in/enzrBxJX

Universities are facing their biggest financial challenge since the introduction of Fees. Without a solid plan from the Government, the only choice is to out-compete other Unis for Students. You'd think that the Unis with the best name recognition, ranking, or budget will be the ones who survive. After a great conversation with Emma Price from Adgen she thinks it will be the most innovative marketing teams. #HEstudentrecruitment

The ever-evolving graduate management education landscape mirrors the dynamism of the business world it prepares its students for. In a new QS report, titled "Business school applicant trends and motivations in 2024", we found that students are seeking more interdisciplinary GME degrees, and pivoting towards non-traditional business subjects. According to the report, the surge in applicants seeking technology-related specialisations "reflects the broader industry consensus that tech-savviness is no longer a niche skill but a fundamental requirement across various business roles." 🌟 International, flexible, career-oriented: Trendence student survey confirms the profile of ESB Business School 🌟 ESB students want change, grasp the ‘big picture’ and are internationally oriented. The results of the Trendence student survey verify this. The market research institute, which specialises in talent recruiting and human resources, evaluated 31 universities throughout Germany for the current study. 🌍 International outlook: ESB students embrace change and possess a global mindset. Their orientation toward international perspectives sets them apart. 🚀 Values that matter: Our students prioritise change over stability, freedom over security, and the journey over the destination. Their focus on career development and global exploration is outstanding. 🌱 Soft skills: Trendence also established which soft skills ESB students are equipped with. Flexibility, motivation and resilience are much more pronounced among them than in the comparable peer group. They are also ahead regarding their digital skills: our students recognise the challenges of digitisation and have no problems with its dynamics and complexity, yet they can also question it critically. 🔝 Top ratings: ESB students value the high professional and didactic expertise of the professors and lecturers at ESB, the international character and the practical relevance of the study programmes as well as the career services. In each of these areas, ESB Business School achieved top positions in the overall average. 🎓 ‘The Trendence student survey shows that our students pursue precisely the goals and values that we as a faculty stand for’, said ESB Dean Professor Dr Markus Conrads, commenting on the results. ‘We have great talents here who appreciate our range of degree programmes. Our key task for the coming years is to develop in an innovative way that meets the challenges of the future.’ #ESBBusinessSchool #ESBspirit #trulyinternational #universityranking #ranking #values #goals #skills
