Most people relate to the subject of structure like it is things in a certain order, or sorting everything in to different boxes. Boxes has nothing to do with it. Structure gives rise to patterns and behavior not the other way around. When we have ice on the sidewalk here in Sweden everyone change their behavior, they walk slower and spread their legs to keep their balance. It doesn’t matter if they think in a particular way at this moment, everyone do the same thing. The underlying structure gives rise to this particular behavior. Whiteout ice different behavior. Structure is dimensional not linear. Instead of 1, 2, 3, 4………….it’s 2, 9, 74, 11, 3………….. If you’re in a lousy structure it doesn’t matter how hard you work. You will never end up where you want to be. On the other hand, if you build a structure that supports you aspirations the prediction is that you will get what you want. Just a Perspective. Why fests have not been of much use to the majority of students on a campus? I always believe that the concept of fests is definitely unique. In a way, it provides students with a pragmatic exposure to real-life operations in their respective fields through the various rounds and tasks it consists of. The concern here I intend to express is whether or not the participation access to these fests, or even the access to assist or coordinate, is actually reaching the students for whose exposure the very concept of a fest comes into existence. The answer is pretty obvious that 80%, in my respective opinion, of the students do not have themselves directly or indirectly associated with these fests. There are several factors that have led to such a scenario where the access to the fest isn't really reaching the vast majority of students. I will mention three of them. Monopolization of Faces - Deny it or not. This one is through my own experience. I have noticed that whenever a certain set of individuals at the inception tend to express interest, the institution in itself tends to develop a bias inclined towards these individuals. This aspect tends to result in new talent not being able to obtain any chance whatsoever, as the institutions and their respective departments are busy polishing and adding shine to the already existing fragments of gold. Factionalism and Groupism - This is an aspect I believe I do not need to elaborate on. And lastly, Disorientation of the majority - I believe that, as the vast majority, we tend to develop an attendee mentality. I myself am not exempt from this, but when you have such a mentality as an individual, that inherently stops you from venturing into a new pathway to learning unconditionally (because there is winning or learning as our elders convey). Many of the existing factors that I have not mentioned act as icing on the cake to restrict students from taking part in fests and exploring their true potential and talent.
