Ever wondered the number of mental institutions there would be in Kenya or the whole world if we didn't have places of worship.... Well, Churches, Synagogue, Mosques, Temples, Shrines and other places of worship are very important. People go to church not only to fellowship but also to find peace and solace. After a whole week of stress people go to their place of worship to release and let go of their burdens. Life can at times be unbearable but once someone finds internal peace and gets re energized to face daily challenges. Places of worship should always be a source of peoples peace of mind. They should advocate for hope faith and resilience no matter what. This is what is preached in most churches. There are people who are wondering what to eat, dress, rent and more challenges.. But they go to places of worship hopping that in one way or another, God will hear their prayers and something will happen and things will fall in place. Places of worship should created an atmosphere suitable for meditation, fellowship and encouragement. I highly encourage opening and smooth running of places of worship. There should also be freedom of worship in totality. What's your take?

Eleventh Sunday of Kingdomtide-(Nov 10, 2024) Support the Weak-B-Remember those who are wandering. The church needs to be aware of those who may stop coming regularly or leave altogether. It may indicate an illness or other problem that may prevent them from attending. Often it indicates that they may carry burdens that are overwhelming them or feel that they are isolated and don’t feel a part of the church. They need to be visited and ministered to so they can overcome what is separating them from the church and return to full fellowship with the body of Christ. It is difficult on Sunday morning to keep track of who is there and who isn’t. People may begin missing occasionally and not be noticed. Some churches have ushers scan the church to see if someone may be missing but if someone begins missing occasionally, they may not be missed right away when they finally break with the church. Every member needs to be a part of a small group so they can be ministered to regularly. In addition, the small group will recognize signs of depression and discouragement that may not be noticed in the Sunday service and may indicate the person or family may drop out of church. In addition, the small group can help build a sense of belonging that may not develop in the Sunday service.

Colossians 3 vs 23-24 Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the LORD and not men, knowing that from the LORD you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the LORD CHRIST. Proverbs 6 vs 6-11 Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.Without having any chief, officer or ruler, she prepares her food in summer, and gathers her sustenance in harvest. How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a vagabond, and want like an armed man.1 Timothy 5 vs 8 If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his own family, he has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. In conclusion, Proverbs 14 vs 23 In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.

Christians everywhere hope for a national awakening that will preserve and revive their nation. However, an awakening does not merely come because people hope and pray for it. Certain preconditions must take place before a nation experiences a spiritual awakening. Check out my new article to find out what they are. Link below! https://lnkd.in/d7GaYfJa

Sending prayer chain requests via SMS offers several benefits. Here are just a few: Immediate Communication: SMS allows for instant communication, enabling prayer requests to be sent out quickly to a large number of people. This is particularly beneficial for urgent prayer needs or emergencies. Accessibility: Most people carry their phones with them at all times, making SMS a highly accessible communication channel. Members can receive prayer requests wherever they are, allowing for prompt prayer responses. Widespread Reach: SMS can reach a broad audience, including members who may not regularly attend church services or events. This helps to ensure that prayer requests are distributed widely within the congregation, maximizing prayer support. Convenience: Sending prayer requests via SMS is convenient for recipients who can then read requests at their convenience. Recipients can also review the SMS as a reminder to pray. Encouragement and Support: SMS prayer chains foster a sense of community and support among church members. Knowing that others are praying for them can bring comfort and encouragement to those in need. Accuracy: Ensure prayer requests sent out are accurate and contain all the correct details. Passing prayer requests verbally from one person to another risks details becoming changed and inaccurate. Overall, using SMS for prayer chain requests enhances communication, accessibility, and support within the church community, enabling members to effectively lift each other up in prayer.
