Online American Gear Manufacturers Association Course: Involute Spline Design and Rating This course will address both geometry and rating of involute splines of various types. The types of spline joints and their applications will be discussed. Spline configuration variations, including half depth, full depth, and special function designs, will be addressed. Both fixed and flexible spline configurations will be examined in terms of usage and design. Lubrication methods, including grease, oil bath, and flowing oil, as well as coatings appropriate for various spline applications, are examined. Hello everyone from BWFS INDUSTRIES, LLC. A winter wonderland of ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) vessels. In our case winter is anything less than 60 degrees. Anything under 50 and it is time to break out the parka. But the assortment of vessels in our version of Santa's shop being produced is a wonder to see nonetheless. Can you believe we are one week from one of the more magical nights of the year? Where you will be able to look up and see the soft red glow of Rudolph's nose lighting up the night sky as he leads the journey to Santa's next stop. That and it could be just another drone making its way as well but we digress. It wasn't a team of reindeer that left our facility this past week. However it was a sight to see nonetheless. Each weighing over 100,000 pounds and literally leaving back to back to back. Heading down the road to fulfill the client's Christmas wish. On time delivery, expert craftsmanship, and turnkey project management. More to see where this came from. It has been a busy few days for Santa's sleigh as it was being loaded down with more ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) goodies from BWFS INDUSTRIES, LLC. It's not just about seals; it's about the relentless pursuit of excellence, the unwavering commitment to our craft, and the profound impact we make in the world of continuous production. Our team's dedication has borne fruit in a remarkable manner. We've surpassed all expectations by achieving a staggering 203% increase in sealing life. From a mere 720 hours to an impressive 2184 hours of effective sealing, our seals are redefining what's possible in the industry. This journey wasn't without its challenges. We faced setbacks, moments of doubt, and countless iterations. But with each obstacle, we grew stronger, more resilient. We didn't just aim to provide a solution; we aimed to make a difference, to empower our partners with reliability and efficiency. Our very first seal barely lasted 48 hours and the target of 800 hours seemed very far at that point. This recently completed work is a perfect example of our in-situ machining capabilities. Demonstrating both the technical skillset of our onsite engineers and the design team. °°° In this case, I was lucky enough to be involved in every aspect of the project. Check out the Case Study linked in the post below °°° Following a survey I was better able to understand the issues and environmental constraints that defined the requirements of this milling process. Utilising the vast knowledge of our Onsite Engineering team, I brought our ideas into one unique, turnkey milling machine design. Finally I used my practical skill base to assist in the completion of the operation, liaising directly with the customer and providing direct consultation. °°° The takeaway? FAST APPROACH ⚡: By incorporating custom electronic devices into the design we had the capability to radially locate the position about the shaft. No fiddling about, our team got straight to work! HIGHLY SKILLED 🥋: Through technical finesse we were confident in successfully creating the desired pocket accurately including various internal radii. Need stress relief points? No worries! ON HAND EXPERTISE 📐: Queries and questions from the customer could be addressed immediately by the team on site, demystifying the process. Our time-proven expertise was available to offer solutions and foresight into potential issues before they could arise. Employing this adaptive style to our problem solving keeps us agile and responsive!
