Blueprint: The Future of Real Estate reposted this
By far one of my top memories of Blueprint: The Future of Real Estate this year was interviewing the real estate rockstar Lisa Picard! Fun fact: she was on the golf team at high school at the same time a rising star was coming through called ... Tiger Woods! Top quote from Lisa - urban environments are "most often designed with a spreadsheet and not with humanity in mind". Love it! In this interview, you will see Lisa's thoughts on the future of office and how working in the wellness industry has influenced the way Lisa thinks more holistically about developments. This point really resonated for me as I took my wife on our 'babymoon' to CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, Arizona a few years ago and completely understood this point of starting the healing as soon as you enter the environment. Inspiration from Simon Sinek and how more amenities and bolt ons in developments are not necessarily what people want. They need a place where they can exhale and focus on creation (particularly as AI agents take on more basic tasks). Also a nod to Jamie Hodari from Industrious and his journalistic background enabling him to think of the story. I could have spent hours chatting to Lisa - a truly brilliant thinker of our generation! Link to full interview in the comments.
