Welding Wonders of the World Designed by William Lamb and his architectural firm, Shreve, Lamb & Harmon, the project was funded by The Empire State, Incorporated, under the leadership of Al Smith and backed by investors John Raskob and Louis Kaufman. Construction kicked off in March 1930 and was completed by April 1931. Despite the dangerous working conditions, with two reported fatalities, this monumental structure was erected during the Great Depression, a time when many were desperate for work. Utilising newly developed welding techniques, the Empire State Building stands as a feat of engineering and one of the first great structures made using welding—a true Welding Wonder of the World. I'm not certain if this idea has been invented before, but I would like to share my concept for creating "The Weldless Steel Tube Connection." Regardless of whether this idea has been produced previously or its originality, and regardless of which supplier might have initiated its production, this connection would be revolutionary in steel design if it were developed and patented. This connection method requires no welding to fix steel tubes, offering numerous advantages: -Reduced labor requirements -Lower manpower costs -Minimized steel waste -Increased productivity -Structural soundness -Reusable and reassembleable -Ideal for offsite modular construction -A potentially strong solution for steel construction I am including my sketches of the concept in this post
