Renewable energies, sustainable mobility, and the hydrogen economy: global efforts to protect the climate and reduce emissions are rapidly increasing the demand for critical minerals. However, investment in their extraction is not keeping pace. This is the conclusion of a study by UN Trade and Development, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. According to the study, a gap of 180 to 270 billion dollars could arise by 2030. Newly dropped episode! Dive into today's conversation with Eric Desaulniers, President & CEO of Nouveau Monde Graphite | NYSE: NMG who are striving to become a key contributor to the sustainable energy revolution as they are working towards developing a fully-integrated source of carbon-neutral battery anode material in Québec, Canada for the growing lithium-ion and fuel cell markets. Today, we discuss: 🔸The role of Canadian miners in the North American energy transition. 🔸How the company is establishing a sustainable supply of domestic graphite to companies like General Motors and Panasonic. 🔸Why the future of North American mining is promising…as more companies look to onshore rather than import/offshore as more environmental regulations/trade tariffs are put in place. Would you prefer: a) Saudi Arabia Aramco’s Mobile Carbon Capture (MCC) technology that captures up to 40% of #CO2 emissions from the exhaust, making it effective for significantly reducing the carbon footprint of vehicles, especially in long-haul #trucking and potentially marine shipping. I’ll note, #Aramco few years ago partnered with #Hyundai on their MCC. OR b) DynaCERT’s HydraGEN which improves fuel efficiency by up to 19% and reduce #greenhouse gases (#GHG) by up to 47%. In addition, resulting in decreased maintenance costs due to cleaner engine operation. All in all, for broader application aiming to improve fuel efficiency and reduce multiple #emissions in existing #diesel engines, dynaCERT Inc. is a better option. #GreenHydrogen #CarbonCredits #CanadaGermanyHydrogenAlliance

Why Hydrogen Tenders Are Failing To Generate Private Sector Interest? Indian hydrogen tenders based on Build, own, operate (BOO) have so far failed to generate any significant interests which has often led to cancellation of tenders. More than 5,000 cr. of tenders have been floated by major public sector companies, however interest from private sector has remained a concern. This hints at the changes required to make the Green Hydrogen mission success and shift country to Net Zero by 2070. Read story on https://lnkd.in/gXv8pBeB

🐘 The elephant in the net zero room Supply of transition metals is simply not keeping up with the demand to meet the energy transition needs. We need to enable the mining sector to scale up and clean up with urgency. That needs governments, policy makers, the finance community, energy companies, mining sector industry bodies, businesses and end users to all work together - to catalyse the collective pace, and courage, to transform this sector. A meaty challenge in a world with so many competing needs. The good news is there are proven technologies available today, that can be applied in an innovative way, to materially use less energy, create less waste and use water wisely. So we don't need to wait, some of the solution is already here. If combined with a strategic approach to the decarbonisation of power grids, focusing on geographies producing energy transition minerals, the sector could scale up and clean up simultaneously and further drive the energy transition. ⚡ Use less energy - https://lnkd.in/esjKtH86 🚰 Use water wisely - https://lnkd.in/e7UiEe6z 🗑 Create less waste -https://lnkd.in/enG_CX5J #miningtechnologyforasustainablefuture #scaleupandcleanup
