😖 I hate baking! It's very much about following a process. You need to follow the recipe carefully, make sure you have the right ingredients, and add the right amounts! Imagine if you added a tablespoon of baking powder instead of a teaspoon 🙄 And even then it can go wrong if the recipe wasn't a good one -all that effort for a cake that resembles a flat, hard frisbee! 🙃 Not to mention the wasted food-and eggs are not cheap!! 🤑 ✋ However!! ❤️ The reasons I don't like baking are the exact reasons I'm passionate about facilitating strategic planning! If You Like Coffee Cake, We Have The Perfect Recipe For You I'm sure you won't be able to eat just one slice of this cake. The recipe is from the Food Network website. Ingredients: 100 grams of butter 50 grams of sugar 2 eggs 100 grams of flour 15 ml cold coffee For the icing: 3 tablespoons of chocolate paste 150 ml cream 3 teaspoons ground coffee 75 grams of milk chocolate Directions: 1- Beat the butter with the sugar. Add the eggs, flour and coffee. Divide the mixture into two tins and bake for 25 minutes. 2- While the cake is baking, prepare the cream. Ingredients: 1 (8-10-inch) sourdough loaf 5 Tbsp butter 3 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese 1/2 cup pesto Directions: 1. In pan, melt butter. Add garlic and cook until softened, about 1 minute. Stir in fresh parsley. Remove from heat. 2. In small bowl combine the mozzarella and parmesan. 3. Score the top of sourdough in cross-cross diamonds about 1” apart and about 3/4 the way through the bread. 4. Gently separate each of the bread cuts and drizzle the garlic parsley butter in all the cut cracks. Repeat and stuff the cracks with pesto the cheese mixture. 5. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter on top. 6. What could be more basic than the humble fish and chips? For Father's Day, I went with my family to the Hinds Head pub in Bray to eat Heston Blumenthal's Michelin-starred fish and chips. Blumenthal is one of the top chefs in the world, so it is probably not surprising that my whole family agreed that these were the best fish and chips that they had ever eaten. So what was his secret? He posted a video (link in comments) demonstrating his recipe. What was clear was his meticulous attention to every step in the process from identifying the perfect fish and the perfect potato, to temperature, starch levels, surface area, aeration levels, moisture, etc. Every step was analyzed to maximize flavor, texture and appearance. For example, I'm a big fan of vinegar on my chips, but not a fan of soggy chips. He solved this in two ways - by creating a spray bottle of atomized cider vinegar that you can use to get the perfect flavor-to-texture ratio and introducing a dip that tastes like the bottom of a chip bag from your local store. Just another reminder that you don't have to do amazing things to impress - you can also impress by doing basic things amazingly well.

Simplicity is sometimes best This super tasty recipe is simply three ingredients Apples Butter Ground cinnamon And it's super easy to make. Cinnamon Baked Apples : Author unknown 1 large apple, unpeeled 1 tablespoon of butter, melted 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon Preheat oven to 200°C, line a baking dish with baking sheet. Cut apple into twelve slices, discarding the core. Place the apple slices in the dish and drizzle them with the melted butter, ensuring both sides are fully coated, arrange slices in a single layer. Sprinkle the tops of the slices with half the ground cinnamon, bake for 10mins. Turn slices over and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon, bake for a further 10mins, until golden brown and tender.
