Building Newsletter Signup App. I've started implementing the routing feature in the newsletter signup project. It's supposed to take you to the Success Component when you enter a valid email address. If the email format is incorrect, you won't be able to navigate to the Success Component. The Signup Component should send the email address value to the success component which is achieved by passing it in the location hook's state object. Once the Success Component is rendered, it can receive the state value by using the useLocation hook. I've focused on making sure that the solution is quite simple and straightforward without introducing unnecessary complexity. - I'll be refactoring the codebase as things progress. I can a lot of room for improvements.

3 principles to live by to increase paywall conversion At #AdaptyConf, Nathan Hudson 🚀 shared his insights on turning your paywall into a value engine. Let's break it down: 1. Communicate the value of your app as clearly and concisely as possible. Avoid generic headlines like "Go premium" or "Choose your plan". Instead, highlight the main benefit. 2. Context is key. Integrate your paywall within the app's flow. Tailor the design to where the user is in their journey. Avoid overwhelming users with too many features like long lists. However, sometimes feature lists are ideal for apps with no onboarding journey, functional apps, or low-cost apps. 3. Leave no stone unturned. Answer the questions that hold users back from subscribing. Making a big promise is step one. Persuading them you can deliver drives conversion, even before the trial starts. Potential worries: 1) Price in relation to the size of the problem → offer first-time discounts or limited freemium usage with a clear savings display. Showing the price on the purchase button can reduce conversion. 2) Price in relation to the quality of your product → a seamless, beautiful experience makes users more willing to pay. 3) The belief that user's circumstances are different → show users they aren’t unique in their needs through reviews. 4) The concern that you'll bill them before they can cancel → assure users they won't be billed before they can cancel. Bonus principle: ditch the playbook. Test new ideas that others haven't tried. Building a compelling paywall isn't just about design; it's about clear communication, contextual integration, and experiments.

$1M apps do one thing different: - paywall - app icon - keywords - onboarding - screenshots - app category - asking for reviews - asking for feedback They run experiments for all of it. No one knows what'll work best. But: The more experiments you run. ↓ The more data you get. ↓ The more you learn. ↓ The more users convert. ↓ The more money you make. So if your app's not making more money than you know what to do with, then start running experiments TODAY. See you at the top. 🚀 P.S. BIG NEWS dropping tomorrow. I am thrilled to share my first project with you all! 🌟 I have developed a personal Business Card application using Flutter and Dart. This app showcases my own business card in a professional and easy-to-use format. Here are some key features of the app: - Personal Information : Displays my name, job title, phone number, email, LinkedIn profile, and other contact details. - Easy Sharing : Allows sharing of my business card via email, text messages, or social media. Using Flutter and Dart helped me build this app efficiently and quickly, and I am proud of the final result. --- #Flutter #Dart #BusinessCardApp #MobileDevelopment

Day 2 of RevenueCat ‘Ship-a-ton’ 🛳️ Did you know only 4.9% of users start a free trial? If your app has an onboarding process, and then a hard paywall, most users never even see what you’ve built. Let’s break it down👇 Say you get 100 downloads in one day. Only 5 people see your content. That’s 95 lost opportunities. Now consider how many potential users view your App Store page but never download… Say your conversion rate is 1% of App Store page views. 100 downloads = 1000 views. That’s 900 people that didn’t make it any further. I’ve been there before. Spending countless hours design and coding amazing features. Only to realise most users never see them. The reality? You’ve got to capture attention right at the top of the funnel. That’s why for Day 2, I’m focusing on one of the most visible elements: the app icon. Using our earlier example: An extra 9x as many people will see it 🚀 So it’s crucial to get this right. These are my key objectives for the icon 👇 1️⃣ It needs to immediately convey what the app does. 2️⃣ It must look professional and be recognisable at a small size. 3️⃣ And it should look stunning on 150 San Francisco Billboards 😉 I kicked off the design process with some initial ideas, and then supercharged it using #OpenAI DALL-E to generate quick variations. Here’s my design approach this time: 💪 Users relate better to images of real people. 💪 Fitness products sell better with imagery that’s in shape, healthy, and aspirational. 💪 The colour palette aligns well with the intended branding of the app, and other products we have. I’d love any of your feedback on the current designs at the moment! Which app icon do you prefer? Let me know your thoughts 😃👇 #buildinpublic #IndieDev #shipaton #revenuecat #iOS #appicon #iOSDevelopment #ASO ——— Source: RevenueCat State of Subscription Apps 2024 Median rates between 2.9%- 6.9% depending on category. Simplified to 4.9%. https://lnkd.in/d2Qj4GG3

🚀 Exciting Announcement! 🚀 I’m thrilled to share a new project I've been working on that makes managing your daily tasks easier and more integrated with Google Sheets. Check out the video where I walk you through the clean and intuitive UI of the web app, designed to streamline your workflow. In the video, I also demonstrate how you can easily integrate with Google Sheets using a simple script. Just follow these steps: Copy the provided Google Sheets code (shown in the video) and paste it into your Google Sheet's Apps Script. You can find the Apps Script under the Extensions tab in Google Sheets. Deploy the script as a web app and copy the generated URL. Use the app's "Change URL" button to paste the copied URL and start syncing your tasks seamlessly! 💡 Pro Tip: To ensure the web app functions correctly, make sure to name the labels in the app exactly as the column headers in your Google Sheets. With this setup, you can easily maintain and manage your daily tasks. No more manual tracking - let the app and Google Sheets handle it for you! 👉 Watch the video, try it out, and let me know your thoughts in the comments. I'm excited to see how this helps you stay organized! Explore it here: https://lnkd.in/ghwwNYM4 #WebApp #GoogleSheets #Productivity #TaskManagement

I Failed… And Then Everything Clicked! Sometimes, things just don’t go according to plan. I had a client who needed a custom app developed. Simple enough, right? But the backend of the app refused to cooperate. No matter what we tried, nothing worked. After days of hitting walls, I knew we needed to rethink our strategy. It wasn’t easy, but we took a step back. Re-evaluated everything. Here’s what we did: → We streamlined the code → Reworked the API integration → Optimized the database structure And just like that… it worked! The app was back on track, and the client was thrilled. Sometimes, a setback is just an opportunity to approach things differently. If you’re struggling with your app development, don’t worry it happens to all of us. The key is finding the right team to get it done. Need help with your next app? Let’s get it right, together. P.S DM me to discuss your product development needs! Happy Friday

I lost $150,000 developing an app. A few years ago, I decided to bring an app idea to life. I hired a developer and thought my role was simple: explain what I wanted, and they’d build it. But it turns out, managing an app project is much more than just telling developers what to do. Here are some lessons I learned the hard way: 1️⃣ Details Matter (A Lot) Even something as simple as a login feature has tons of details: What if someone enters a 1000-character password? Should that even be allowed? Every feature has these “edge cases,” and they add up quickly. I didn’t realize how many small decisions needed to be made, and that oversight cost both time and money. 2️⃣ Don’t Build a “Wishlist” App Initially, I had a big wishlist of features. I thought adding a couple of extra buttons or tweaks would be quick work, but I learned that even small changes can take developers a lot of time. I soon realized I needed to prioritize. 3️⃣ Focus on the Core Feature The solution I wish I’d known from the start? Focus on the core feature that solves your main problem. I wasted time building out extra features before making sure the main function actually resonated with users. Build your core feature, test it, and only add more if it works. Managing an app build is tough, especially when you’re new to it.

Am I the only one seeing it? The app market today is like a minefield, literally. Thousands of developers, all chasing treasure. Shiny features, polished ads, "novel" ideas. Everyone thinks their app is the golden nugget. You know... users don’t care about the gold you promise. They care about what they find "on their own". Quick story: There’s an app I downloaded last year. At first sight, it was nothing special. The design? Decent. The features? Pretty standard. But here’s what made me stay: → The app solved one tiny problem I didn’t even know I had. → The first time I used it, I thought, “Wow, that just made my day 1% easier.” → The second time, it saved me 10 minutes. → By the third time, it was part of my routine. ❌ It wasn’t flashy. ❌ It wasn’t game-changing. ✅ It was useful. That simple :) And that’s what most apps forget. You don’t need to "wow" your users with gold. You need to be the tool they didn’t realize they needed to dig through their daily life. ☑︎ Solve one problem. ☑︎ Make them feel like life just got easier. That’s how you turn a download into a habit. Now ask yourself: What’s the one thing your users would miss if they didn’t have it tomorrow? If you can answer that, you don’t just have an app. You have loyalty. Did it click? :)

In the middle of the night... while I was checking some competitors apps, guess what I saw... I saw something that increase RPD, WHAT'S NEXT :) 1.25 am in the middle of the night, I wrote it to my client why? I love to earn more money with less CAC. I don't want users who don't like to pay so even if they don't want to pay, they can leave some tip💡 From a weekly package if I can't get 7.99$ or 4.99$ etc maybe I can get 2.99$ or 1.99$. these kinds of user think that I get hell of a discount and also they think that they will use this app in time but no. Additionally I won't give trial so if they use one time after discount package, they can't get refund. Most of the time they buy with better price and they FORGET ;) If you sell weekly and make your users forget you can earn more and more in time. why not, give it a try... what is this opportunity? it is about paywall where I want to show our user if they give up from our app at the end of the free trial I love to read human mind and make them them feel urge. I know it's not something normal people like... it is a marketers things that make other people feel this way. So, let the A/B test begins 😅 #app #growth
