Last week, we announced 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁™, revolutionizing broadband outage management. Today, we’re showcasing just how impactful it can be. Through a powerful integration between GLDS and Calix, MidSouth Electric Co-op leveraged OutSmart to turn a recent service outage into an opportunity for better subscriber communication and operational efficiency. After a recent Mid South Fiber service outage, Calix notified GLDS of the affected devices, and GLDS reached out to communicate with subscribers. • Of those subscribers who were SMS-enabled, only 4% 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 during the outage. • Of those without SMS alerts, 𝟯𝟯% 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 felt the need to call in. By providing real-time SMS updates, OutSmart doesn’t just keep customers informed, it helps reduce call center demand, streamline operations, and focuses on core service improvements. It’s a win-win approach to managing service disruptions more proactively, ensuring a better experience on all sides.
