Over the years, sustainability in architecture has been focused on singular topics - energy, carbon, material resources, etc. But sustainability is about every issue and each decision. There is no singular solution except to say that the answer is within each of us to think differently and to recognize that we have the power to change. Left on its own, nature will always find its equilibrium. Truly, the real issue of sustainability is to find a way that humans can thrive in partnership with the planet, such that one can sustain the other in a circular, balanced manner grounded in principles of stewardship and respect.
