So if you're in my network, somehow finding the courage every day to hit one more apply button and fill out the same idiotic forms yet again, just hit me up. Building on my previous posts, who on the product team deals with signals and drawing insights? In smaller companies, it’s likely PMs and engineering leaders, including CTOs and VPs. Of course, operational insights like service health, CPU usage, etc., are handled by engineers and engineering leaders. As the company grows, that doesn’t scale, and it becomes more distributed between PMs and Engineering Managers. Even further, companies start hiring dedicated Data Science Analysts. At that point, things start getting really fragmented, as each aspect of the product lifecycle has specific people poking at signals, and their tools of choice are different.
