Matthew 26:38 poignantly captures this moment of vulnerability when Jesus, overwhelmed by sorrow, seeks companionship and support from His disciples. His plea, "Stay here and keep watch with me," underscores the importance of reaching out for assistance during times of emotional turmoil. In our modern context, this verse serves as a poignant reminder of the significance of community and compassion in navigating mental health challenges. Rather than silently bearing the burden alone or waiting for signs of distress, we are called to actively engage with those around us, offering support, empathy, and understanding. LinkedIn is for professional communications but in reality, work is always mixed with personal life. So I thought I'd put my September experience in numbers and make a video that reflects it somewhat. 2 birthdays in the family, 2 cakes and 2 trays of poo-shaped cookies, 2 fake cakes to throw, 10 litres of filter coffee, 3 presentations at Imina Technologies SA global Sales meeting, a talk and a poster at #MNE2024, a booth at #ESREF, 2100 km by train, 53 km by running, one more cyclist on this planet, countless truly AWESOME people I got to talk to. I admit, this month was a bit of an overcompensation for my almost 100% home office. I was happy and I believe it was quite productive, but there is, obviously, a catch. Work events and conferences are intense, travelling is stressful, and everyone at home got sick at some point. We don't have any family close by, so while I was away, EVERYTHING was on my heroic husband Miguel Correa. Without him, none of this would have been possible. And when I was back for the weekends in between, it wasn't exactly rest. Anyone who has small kids will know what I mean :) Granted, we never signed up for the easy or even sensible. Like with riding a bike, keeping balance is much easier at a higher speed. So my main sentiment upon some reflection is enormous gratitude: that I had a chance to be places and meet people, that I had support, and that it all sort of worked out. And now, something resembling an actual vacation is ahead of us, so let me know if I should post anything about Georgian cuisine (from a strictly professional standpoint, of course!)
